Great aide for 18XX
audible listener

We used this for the first time playing 1830 and it worked perfectly. When we thought it bad made a mistake it always turned out app was correct. Shaves a significant time of the game and makes checking alternative tile placements easy. Would like to see a few more game. 18Neb,18mex,18ny,1889 come to mind. Seems like the developer is quite responsive. Was worth the cost to remove ads. Would be wonderful to be able to track players shares and dividends. I know many 18XX players would pay for that. Update new version several bugs noted In 1830. Crashes when trying to do a b&o route PPR can't delete 2 trains and will run with four trains in phase 6 1860 in later phase has trouble calculating routes and seems to hang for long periods. It doesn't include all allowable cities. 9 train will only do 8 cities. Really want this to work as it saves lots of time but is unreliable have dropped 2 stars Update 10/24/15 just updated to latest version and it doesn't work.crash on opening both on iPad and iPhone. Using iOS 8.4. Please fix soon. Happy about the new game additions and financial tracking

Close but not quite

App looks lovely but DOES NOT WORK for me. On iPad Air 2 running iOS 8.4.1, can build map, set player holdings, stock prices, etc, but when trying to calculate earnings it seems to work... Until I click 'done', at which point nothing happens and I need to kill and restart the app. Additionally, the 1830+ variant "Nobody Expects the Canadian Pacific" is broken - the app will not let me play the variant Boston/Baltimore tiles, and several other variant tiles are missing. The variant New York brown/russet tile is in but it will only let it be played as an upgrade to a non-NY green city, NY is forced to use the Classic NY tile.

Latest update fixes crash

Would be nice to have the option to use the original(standard) Avalon hill track tile numbers. Latest update fixed crash. Other than slow down in late game calculations works great upping to 5 stars. Working well would like to see 18Neb and 18PA

Don't play without it

I've now used Survey Party for 1889, 1830, 18MEX, 18FL, 1844, and Steam over Holland. With the exception of 1844, which had a routing bug that was quickly fixed, it has worked amazingly well. I only use the route calculations, as the other features are too cumbersome to keep track of during play, but they work well and save so much time, especially during the endgame. I also like to use it to figure out what track can be laid where, and how much runs will be if I do this or that. It can lead to AP, but I think the time saved is definitely greater than the time lost by doing so. My sincere thanks to Antti for making this available, it's well worth its cost.

Super useful and lessens downtime significantly

Since we started using Survey Party, we've spent much less time recounting the same routes every turn and downtown is significantly reduced for players. We don't tend to use the stock tracking aspect of the app, but I appreciate the option. One negative aspect (that doesn't affect my rating) is that there is no option for 1844/1854. The maps for this specific version are slightly different, so we can't use the app when playing these 18XX titles.
