This is minesweeper for the iPad, and done very well. I intend to buy the $.99 version and have started trying their other free games. The play is exceedingly fast, and the option to touch to flag an unknown space and clear around numbers is an excellent way to utilize the touch interface. The graphics are good, but they could be improved. I don't expect more from a free app. If it were a paid app I would mark the interface and presentation down for the graphics and a few missing options. Still, great app.

Too easy to dig when flag was intended.

All too frequently I would do a "long tap" to flag a mine and the game would sense a short tap instead (when in fact I had not yet lifted my finger), digging the mine and ending the game. If I had designed this, I would have made the short tap to flag and the long tap to dig, so that the flagging could be accidental but the digging had to be purposeful. There is a flag/dig toggle button that will allow flagging INSTEAD of digging, but then you have to press the button if you want to dig again. Frustrating.

Good but intrusive ads

This rendition of Minesweeper is pretty true to the original and has good gameplay. As a free app, I found the ads a bit too intrusive, as a big ad pops up in the middle when you win, in addition to the small ads at the bottom of the screen. So for a free version, I like some of the competition better. If you pay for the upgraded version, this one would certainly be a contender though as it is well produced.
