Good Game w/ "Iffy" Controls
Hippo Humper
This platformer is a great example of the genre in terms of how much it offers and how much there is to do and explore. But I found the controls to be a bit "floaty" and your character reacts like half a second after your input. If control issues are fixed this would be one of the best games on iOS with enough content and gameplay to last you hours upon hours.
This is what I want.

This game is amazing. Basically, a not bad zelda 2 ish mario platformer. Sound good to you? Good. Now go play it.
At least the princess isn't a damsel in distress like Peach.

I really like the style of this game being an advocate of Super Mario Bros. It also features a combat system in which you can use different powerful weapons against enemies, which really got me into it. And of course, what would a platformer be without it's difficulty? This game provides a challenge that will keep you occupied for a while.

It's a pretty fun little platformer so far. I'm not terribly far into it at this point, but from what I've played so far, I'm enjoying it! The controls leave a bit to be desired as they are a bit wonky, but otherwise totally playable and a good little time passer. A good combo of Mario/yoshi land like gaming. Totally worth a play through!
