Fun but needs adjustments

PokeSlayer

Difficult to obtain enough in-game currency and items to craft/buy items, armor, weapons. Also leveling up the character seems disproportional to the available missions - meaning, make it faster/easier to level up or increase the character strength much more every level up.

Great game, but

Nathan.wlkns

It has critical flaws: World map not fully functional (cant access story quest. Zone is highlighted, but not expanding) 2. Two tiles types are not showing up at all (i thought you just had to unlock them, but saw them used in completed missions in screenshots) 3. Can't seem to find any combos at all. No matter what I try. All in all, its a good game, but $3 should come with a better execution. I hope an update comes soon, because it is not worth playing right now

Ok

Casual_llama

It was a decent 4 star game at first, but after a week I'm discounting it to a 1 star game.

Even more fun

Great match game. Builds up, gets better over time.

Great Match-3 RPG with no IAP

Benholio1

If you like Match-3 RPG games, this one should be a no-brainer to pick up. The matching mechanic is easy to learn but has lots of room for strategy and tactics, especially once you open up some of the more advanced spell casting methods. You should also buy the original Glyph Quest - both are great fun!

Evolving gameplay

Golgangroth

I've played 100s of iOS games and this is only the second I've felt compelled to review. The first Glyph Quest was great and this builds upon that excellent base. My favorite part of this game is how your strategy needs to evolve as more features become unlocked. The early game is all about stringing together simple matched chains. The mid game requires status impacting combo chains. And finally, the late game requires manipulating the board to always have 6-tile summon chains available to absorb the massive damage output of the final enemies. Great game!

Needs work

Kidvark

Has great potential, but there are way too many problems. 1. Too much grinding. This really wouldn't be an issue if the grinding stages themselves were easy and didn't require a bunch of items to get through, but the stages are so difficult that it becomes exhausting just to grind. 2. The battles are really, really slow. Maybe fix the battle speed button to actually work? Also the animations are way too slow. 3. The controls are unresponsive. I have to wait forever after an opponent moves to make mine. Then mid move, the game doesn't recognize when I've moved over a glyph and so its a frustrating process to make a single move. This game has a lot of great aspects to it, but it needs a whole lot of backend work to make it not frustrating. 2.

Fun and engaging

Neat little match-3 RPG hybrid. Easy to play one-handed, has a nice art style, and a good bit of humor. Devs seem genuinely interested in continual improvement and listening to feedback.
