We've been faithful readers of Sunset since before the days of Time Magazine ownership. This app is horrible and won't let us access our subscription. It ask us, current subscribers, to pay for digital downloads. I miss the days that Sunset was the "Magazine of western living" and was focused on pleasing their subscribers.

I PAID to get this? What I want to do is search to find content on various locations. This app doesn't search. Lame.

I would like to see horizontal view options when possible, more expanded views of some pictures, otherwise I am happy with the content and links.

love sunset magazine but their app has been behind the times. in the initial versions, the app mag was dynamic with great photos and jumps from section to section. with the economic down turn, the fluidity was lost and you would get the mag, with sister regions, in one long document. NOW with this upgrade, the magazine is now certain/horiz but previous issues are gone. the fluidity Is gone. the great pictures are gone. in essence my love of this app is gone. What the hell were they thinking.

10/23/2017 Udate:the app software got better and you could bookmark but now the updated app does not have that option and lost all my old bookmarks. Why are we going backwards on technology! It is great it can read sunset Magazine on my IPad but I agree that it does not use a digital formate to it's fullest potential . It does read like a PDF and you cannot even bookmark. I do hope you will take a look at Martha Stewart Living , Food and Wine and Vogue Knitting Apps. You could do so much better.

Well, I love the magazine - great content, I’ve been reading it for years. The latest app update, however, is disappointing - the images are NOT retina quality and look poor on the iPad screen.

Until recently I was able to access my subscription digitally. Now, without any notification they want to charge me an extra $20 to view what I could do previously as part of my subscription. I have not changed or renewed my subscription which does not expire until 2020. With so many magazines struggling this is no way to keep subscribers renewing.

The app does not function correctly. I purchased a 1 year subscription and cannot access new issues. Sunset customer service is incapable of solving the problem.

Visually very pretty, but the navigation through articles could stand some improvement, and until there are clickable hyperlinks and a way to bookmark articles (especially recipes!)--or at least export them to something like Evernote--I'm not giving up my print subscription!
