Fantastic Synth, but...

Mordini

Doesn't really do MIDI out, misleading description. if you're wanting to use the sequencer to control ext. software look elsewhere.

Powerful, Professional Grade

For the price, this is a great synth packed with all the standard tools for a wide scope of sounds. If your a beginner, it comes with a well-designed set of presets to suit your needs. Love it!

Very impressive

I play lots of iOS synths and while most are useless, this one's a keeper. Only thing I'm puzzled and still questioning is, how do I play recordings, or is it possible to run recorded tracks in order to layer more tracks over those? An instruction/help section should be added. I've figured how to use the synth for the most part, it's very well laid out, but a user manual would be much appreciated. Thanks again for an awesome synth. Def one of the best if not the best for $3. You really can't ask for more at this price, I'm guessing, a user manual would take some time to write for this synth as it is a very detailed va synth. But hey if you guys put a manual together and make it an iap, I'd buy it. I feel like this synth has a lot of potential and use. Love how you included the natural circular knob twist feature as an option. Most iOS synths I played do not have this option, they all give the default linear knob turns, which is okay, but def not natural feeling when attempting a rotary motion.

Excellent, rich sound.

Excellent app. This and the iPad version of Sunrizer are my two favorite synths, and having MIDI support in both is a plus. With both running on the iPad I can turn on background audio, set up a multi-track sequencer app, set the MIDI in channel to the respective track number, and I have a bit of variety going. The interface is pretty easy to use, even on the small screen of my iPod Touch. It has all the basic components of a synth, all broken out into tabs so the controls can be found easily. One thing I would like to see in this, though, is the ability to set LFO 1 to control the LFO 2 frequency set point. I was thrilled when that was added to the iPad version, but would like to see it on the iPhone/iPod touch version as well. That aside, it's still an excellent app. Don't hesitate to buy! It's worth every penny.

Amazing synth

Just disappointed that it doesn't have Inter-App Audio support like its big brother (and not entirely clear that it doesn't reading from the website). But hopefully soon? All the same, it works with Audiobus, and based off my iPad experience this was a no brained purchase @ $3

Good synth

If you're like a lot of "serious" iOS musicians, you'll want to check this one out! You can't get hardware synths so cheap!

Perfect. Great bang for your buck.

SunrizerXS is pretty much everything I was looking for in a mobile synth. Easy interface, great sound (for iPhone at least) and most of all, an arpeggiator sequencer. The main reason I bought this honestly was because of the step sequencer, since I’m no good tiptoeing around a keyboard I love to build sequences. Obviously the sequencer is limited to just building simple patterns but due to audiobus support you can easily track them out into Beatmaker 2, or just sample them on something else (like my MPC500) The interface functions just like any subtractive synthesizer. If you’ve used one before it’s not hard to figure out. If you haven’t then this is a pretty good place to start honestly. You really can’t go wrong with this app. At this price you have very little to lose and a lot to gain

Packs HUGE Sound!

I am a country music songwriter and was needing some new sounds for new music and have to say this has brought a lot of ideals to mind with so many different sounds and speed control I give it a 10 + stars

I'm standing here beside myself.

Stop reading and buy this app. The one person whining "it was small on my cell phone" is just that. I'm using it and it's fantastic. I feel it's more responsive that Garageband concerning the touchscreen. It sounds totally yummy in headphones, I can't wait to plug it in. For $3, it kills the hundreds I spend in the 90's getting good sounds from my keyboards. This app does not sound cheezy.

So much to love

Great filters, rich oscillators, great effects and just enough tweakability and control. In need of an update (happy to pay again!) but easily my favorite VA on iOS. If a friend told me they wanted to get a virtual analog hardware synth, I'd try to convince him to instead get a used iPod touch, a MIDI keyboard and Sunrizer. It would like eat most hardware VAs it's price range! (Plus, they could also play Animoog occasionally for a few bucks more vs another hardware synth... ;)
