The pen icon is the Answer button and the pencil one the Memo button.
Tap on the buttons to switch modes.
The left arrow is UNDO and the right one REDO.
[Reset Puzzle]
1) Tap on a difficulty level's [EDIT] button.
2) Tap on [RESET] to reset a puzzle.
3) Tap on [OK] to complete the reset. (The cleared data cannot be reset)

Fan of RPN
When an app does what it says it will do and does it well, it deserves five stars. Sure it would be better without ads but the ads pay for hours of great entertainment. Entering possible answers and the dimming when a correct answer is entered into the same column or row is a great help.

The easy level games are good for the person just learning Sudoku. The normal level is good for intermediate users. The hard and very hard levels will keep you busy for a long time and you may need to reset several times to solve the puzzles.
