Disappearing numbers

I enjoy this Sudoku at the expert level, but I’m becoming frustrated with it. After I have put in all the numbers needed in each of the 9 squares, I’m realizing that many have been deleted and I need to redo them...several times! I’ve tried turning my iPad off and restarting it but to no avail. Please give me advice on how to fix this situation. I don’t want to delete this app.

So, I got this app for a class I’m taking, and I have really enjoyed the different things about this app. One thing I’d change is to add a “home” sorta thing, where you had like a place to go to open game, and a way to pause your game. So, 5&1/2 stars, ‘cause I can’t put them in.
