Terrible entry system

You have to select a square then go select the number you want in that square. Completely backwards from using a pencil and paper. You should be able to select a number then tap several cells entering that number. Just like real sudoku.

I have enjoyed this app for many years, first using it on my first generation iPad. I have just recently updated to iOS 11 and now I have no game. :-( I have looked at other games, but I am spoiled with this one that is familiar to me. Please, please, please update your game.
