As in all Sudoku games with AutoFill notes mode enabled - it is just too easy to play level 1, so use it for higher levels.
You can solve it 20% faster using the iPad version.
FEATURES DETAILS:
• AutoFill Mode - all notes will be automatically populated and then kept in sync with the numbers you enter. You can remove notes. You can add notes only if you previously removed them. In this mode the game does everything for you and lets you do the thinking. You can switch back to manual mode - the auto-populated notes will remain.
• Manual Mode - you are responsible for adding/removing notes. No restrictions.
• Manual Mode with "smart notes" - you are responsible for adding/removing notes, but the game will auto cleanup the corresponding notes when you enter a new number. If you change your mind and remove the number the game will put them back. In manual mode you can use the "Clear Notes" button to clear all notes.
• Clear notes - in manual mode delete/clear all user notes
• Hide/Show notes - temporary hide/show notes in all modes
• Hint - press the "Hint" button and one unknown number will be revealed
• Mark-Completed feature - mark completed numbers with a star on the Notes Pad
• Sudoku 16x16 MANUAL - you think it is too hard for you - no such thing - read the manual and you will be ready.
ALERT LEVELS:
• OFF - No alerts
• Conflicts Alert - When the entered number conflicts with another number on the same row, column or box it will be colored in red and you will hear an alert sound. Hidden conflicts warning.
• Wrong Number alert - When the entered number doesn't match the real number it will be colored in red and you will hear an alert sound.
DOUBLE-TAP SHORTCUTS - very convenient for this type of big puzzle:
1. If you want to quickly remove a number you entered - just double-tap it
2. When there is only one note in a certain square - double tap it and the note will become the number
3. If a row, column or sub-square is populated with unique numbers and there is only one number left - double-tap the square - the remaining number will appear
Double-tap shortcuts reduce the solving time by 10 - 20%.
NUMBER-FINDER FEATURE:
When nothing is selected tap a number in the notes pad or in the number pad. All squares containing this note or this number will be highlighted;
This feature will allow you to solve the puzzle much faster: 40% in AutoFill mode and 10% in Manual mode.
For some players it is half of the fun to find the correct notes by themselves and solve it without any extra help. Don't use the feature if you are one of those players.

If it looks like you have solved the puzzle, but nothing happens or the numbers don't make sense - please don't write a bad review, but set the alert level to "Wrong Number" to see what is wrong.

So far very pleased - but the placement of the pencil marks should be spaced apart in each square just it appears on the bottom pane. With the numbers just lined up, it’s harder to spot patterns and I keep mistaking the 8 and the B. The numbers and letters are small enough and there is enough room in each square for row 1 placement 0 1 2 3 row 2 placement 4 5 6 7 etc.

I love this app! It's more challenging than any other sudoku app I have tried, yet it helps you when you get stuck. The design is sleek and interactive and I really enjoy the cool graphics and skins. Thanks guys for making this available. Now I never have to pay attention in class again :)

This version of sudoku (16 x 16) is one of the best sudoku's I've played. I love a challenge and this is one. Depending on my mood I can do one star (easy) to five stars (very hard). Well worth the money!!!!

Since the 6 star puzzles were added, I have had 3 puzzles which were faulty. I would not have a space where a character could be placed within a 4x4 square. I could remove a previously entered character and add the one I couldn't place instead. In other words, it was approving 2 different characters for the same space. And the removed character would not have another place where it could go.

By far the best Sudoku game out there. Very challenging, options galore, easy to pick up, put down and pick back up w/o loosing notes or already answered tiles as I've seen in other versions of Sudoku. Thanks to the devs for continuing to add levels and options to this game...simply the best!

I've played this in the Sunday paper for ever and finally I can play it on my iPad. Great app. I only wish you could turn off the wrong answer highlight.

This is a very well written app. It works very smoothly with no issues. The highest difficultly is too easy though. I can do the hardest puzzles in about 13 minutes. There are almost never a need for triples or perfect squares that would be needed to classify as a medium difficulty.

I love this sudoku app! It's the best 16 grid I've found. Has features that I don't see in other games like double tapping and having the ability to solve the puzzle in reverse (that's what I call it) puts a different spin on it. It's an overall great program and I've never had any problems with it. I even bought an iPad just to play this game (iPhone screen is too small for me but I played it for at least two years on it!).
