Good for making throwaway numbers for CL etc. The best part may be how by using different phone numbers and emails, I can make it harder for companies to build a profile of me. Apparently you can’t use a Sudo email for Facebook so unfortunately one can’t try to slow down the biggest perv in the world from profiling you, but I like Sudo nonetheless. Thank you!

Sudo Is in Intrachol application I use for personal security. I have not experienced any issues and I love all of the features, including the debit option.

TL;DR - don’t ever rely on Sudo as a replacement for your real number or Google Voice. Or ever try to use their issued numbers for WhatsApp, Sudo, or Telegram. You’ll pay dearly. You’ve been warned! For the better part of a year, I’ve been hearing from other InfoSec/Privacy enthusiasts that Sudo is the best thing to come along, and the best Google Voice replacement. I installed Sudo several months back and setup several numbers. Several weeks back, I unexpectedly was notified that several of numbers (used for infrequent 2FA) were deleted due to inactivity. Fortunately I was able to recover, but that was extremely frustrating. I decided to get off the pot and go full bore into Sudo several weeks back, to include moving all of my real contacts over and separating contacts by number based on need (business, personal, 2FA, etc). Additionally, I used one number to setup WhatsApp and Sudo. I got nearly all of my personal contacts to update their phone books with my Sudo numbers. Wow. What a mistake of the ages. 24h ago, the service unexpectedly stopped working. I couldn’t send or receive texts, calls, and even the ability to contact Sudo support through the app was disabled. I even tried transferring to another iPhone, and recovering from a backup after deleting the app. In the process of that 24h I: missed a major call from a landlord, couldn’t be reached by my parents after an earthquake, was locked out from 2FA (that still isn’t TOTP capable), and couldn’t sell a laptop on Craigslist. I had to reach out to Sudo, ultimately identifying myself, from an out of band email address. They replied within 12 hours, and told me it was possibly a security rule trigger related to fraudulent use of WhatsApp/Telegram accounts. After explaining I did nothing sketchy, other than just start to really use the numbers recently, the service came back online for about 2 text messages today, and as I write this I am now locked out again. Forget the back that Sudo just shut me off versus reach out directly and/or inform users of the potential for lockouts by mapping their Sudo numbers to encrypted messaging apps. Word to the wise: do not ditch your Google Voice number. In the course of 24h, I am paying dearly!

What an amazing app!! I’m not one for believing in things without catches so I have to start with that..I am in total shock of how AMAZING this app is from having an email, text and Phone number that I have NEVER had dropped!!! I currently have Verizon and there an absolute nightmare in comparison to SUDO!! Try it, it’s TOTALLY FREE and so you have NOTHING to LOSE!!!

This app is great. Don't spend money for those other 2nd phone number apps. The only one I found that gives you true secure messaging with password or touch ID access. And it notifies you of a message even when its not running! Just what I needed. And it's FREE!!
