Everything about this game is perfect!

So addicting — almost perfect!

I love this game so much and am completely addicted. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because of the online gameplay. There’s actually a warning message when you start an online game that it’s a bonus feature and you shouldn’t expect it to work well. I had one online game that wouldn’t let me take my turn, so I deleted the game and it counted as a loss. I really love this game; I just wish they would put some effort into developing the online gameplay! I would be willing to pay for a version with decent online gameplay where your ranking is tracked.

Fun when it works!

I love the game for the most part, but the online play still needs a lot of work. I know it says the online part is “bonus” material, but it’s really frustrating that about 1/2 of the games I start get stuck- it says it’s my turn, but it will not allow me to play a card. And then it won’t let me cancel out or forfeit from those games- they just sit at the bottom of my queue, unplayable.

Nearly perfect

Let me start by saying I really (really) like this game. I love Rack-O, and Succession is a wonderful version of the game. When playing with a friend, the game is at its best. I’d like to give this game 5 stars, but I can’t because playing against the computer is not really playing against the computer (it’s playing solitaire against yourself). When you play against the computer, the “computer” simply makes random choices for a random number of turns. The computer is not actually playing against you. How do I know? Not only does the computer not show you its cards when it “wins,” I had the computer win after playing a “60.” Why is this odd? We were playing where a win condition included having to have two runs of three. The computer a 60 and declared victory. However, I had 58 in my play field. It was impossible to go out on a 60. So, while you will not improve your game by building skills to deal with the other player’s gameplay when playing against the computer, Succession is still fun and engaging. Playing solitaire (where you have a random number of turns to win) is still a lot of fun. I highly recommend this game. If the AI is actually coded to play the game, I will change my rating to 5 stars.

Fun game. Wish opponents hand would show at end of each round. Wish computer’s hand would show at end of each round.

Awesome game! Very addictive!

Great game. Played a 500 point game was engaged the whole time. Will be great to play for this 55 year old train commuter. Looking forward to my next train commute home!!!!

What happened?

I have loved playing this game for a while, but something happened in the last update and now the scoring is off. If I win a hand, it only gives me 70 points, even though it’s supposed to be 75. When the computer wins the hand, it gives the whole 75 points, that’s not fair. Either give us both 75 points or 70. Which one is it??

Great game

Update 4/15/18: My issue has been fixed. Numbers go up to 60. Love this game. I also appreciate the quick response from the developers. Original review below: Love the game but why is the highest number “40”? The rack shows numbers up to 50. I kept losing games because I only saw numbers under 40. There needs to be a settings option so you can set the highest number to 40, or 50, or 60. Maybe add some additional card colors. Also add rules for newbies with an interactive demo. It’s 2018. Let’s see some improvements. Also, my game crashed when I opened it but that was before I updated to the latest version so maybe that is fixed now. Otherwise, I like this game. The music is soothing. I like the pace at witch the game moves. I only play single player games so far but I love. I will eventually try the multiplayer but not just yet. I will change this review to 5 stars once my first issue is fixed.

I miss the old format!

Sadly, this version is not as exciting as the previous one. I do not like the extra numbers, nor do I like the numbered hints on the side. It takes the strategy away from the player. Please make a version for single players ONLY! Also I find the swinging back-and-forth board annoying! Thank you for addressing my issues.

Much improved, still wish the multiplayer was more like Words With Friends (more reliable) but much improved in two years.
