When anyone creates flashcards with StudyStack, the app automatically creates other games using the data from your cards. The games include crossword, hangman, matching, and hungry bug. As you complete the different activities, you earn pie pieces. Fill up your pie and you will be ready to reward yourself with a well-deserved treat.
Users of the StudyStack web site can sign in to their existing account to have access to all the flashcards that they have already created. And just like on the website, flashcards created with StudyStack are not limited to just two sides.
With StudyStack you never have to remember to take your stack of indexed cards with you. You already take your phone everywhere; so now you will always have your flashcards with you too. Fire up the app and it will start up right where you left it.
And to become the class hero, share your set with a tweet, text, email, or facebook message. Your friends will be able to view the cards you share using the StudyStack web site or this app.

This app was fine until I saved my set of flash cards to do something else. When I was testing myself, some of the answers and questions on the flash cards were missing. It doesn’t save anything and it was very frustrating. I would not recommend this app. Quizlet is definitely a better option

I’ve had this app before. But I recently started school again, and I’ve made a large set of cards, and when I opened it up to study, the questions weren’t on the front. Only the answers were on the cards, it’s like the app didn’t save the front parts..... any help?

It’s a good app, I just discovered it. The only thing is the graphics are kinda outdated it doesn’t look fresh. Great to use if you need help academically. It has games for you to play that will help you learn.

The app is competent, but has quite a few problems. It’s missing half of the study tools the website has, like Test, Word Charts, Type In, Chopped, and even the on the app gets its name from, StudyStack. Additional, the search system is hard as it appears to require you to use the exact correct cases & spelling for any username, no room for error. There is also a problem of inability to remove sets once you’ve downloaded, which clutters up the screen. The hungry bug game really needs an update because it looks pretty awful and feels hard to control. Hangman seems to glitch out often and if the current term only takes up one row and the previous term took up two, you can see the second of the pervious term while you’re playing. I wish it had these things so it could be an even better study resource than it already is.

It’s a great app, I love the trivial pursuit style slice earning for different types of study games. But I have two problems. For the hungry bug, the controls are very glitchy and frustrating should be edited. The other problem is that I use this app to study a language that doesn’t use the Latin alphabet, and if the crossword puzzle is stuck giving me English definitions, I can’t switch to the correct keyboard needed for the language. So now I can’t earn that slice. Something that should really be fixed. I will say I love the matching and quiz functions of the app.

Tl;dr, the app has great potential, but login, and deck upload is terrible on the iPhone and iPad. The current bug I found was, during the initial set-up of the app, a blank screen appears and remains. Nothing works, or is responsive. I would have to exit the app, and return for anything to appear. This is after a few attempts (2-3 times). I like the feel of this app but it’s kind of buggy, and I wouldn’t want to pay for something glitchy. Again, great potential, and there’s a lot of good ideas, but glitchy... I wish I know how to code, show I could help.

I love love this app but it’s annoying that the app isn’t smooth. When I open it, it’s a blank screen. I have to close it to get any images to open up. When I tried to share my flash cards with others, I tested it out by e-mail it to myself first, when I click on the link it attempts to go to StudyStack.com to open, and it just hangs forever. I eventually got a message from Safari- server not responding :( so frustrating. ??Please fix these bugs! I use these cards for my Pharmacology class.. I so need this app to function properly

I was really hoping to use a flashcard system that let me hold multiple cards of data but here are the things that happened: - the iPhone app does not fit the screen and rides over the edge - the side bar is very small and not optimized for the iPhone screen size - when I click on my sets (I created a set on your website) the set is visible but I get an error notification and cannot open it - I tried deleting the set in the app and refreshing it, no change - I tried searching for my set using the search feature in the app, it did not show up I put in probably 25 minutes creating accounts/login-info, figuring out their website, creating a set, downloading the app, going through the additional steps of logging in there, just to find out that the app does not work. This is really frustrating and I don't know why you advertise having an app when it does not work as advertised. I hope you figure this stuff out.
