StoryCorps 3.0 is a powerful tool for recording oral histories, especially for family members and educators. The app's question lists and tips are a great introduction to interview techniques and make it easy to use at home or on the go. However, the app is not designed for recreational listening—most users' uploads are 20 minutes or longer, and the search is limited to location and keywords. So if you're looking for the StoryCorps podcasts, NPR clips, or animations, the website (storycorps.org) is a much better resource.

Excellent app for recording histories. App works well and the sample questions are very helpful. Everyone should use this app and record their family history!

Love this app. Real people totally unscripted just having a conversation. Only wish it was longer.

Tried to sign in for a project but the new update of the app wouldn’t let me. Went to the website, which said “a new StoryCorps.me is coming soon please check back in a few hours.” Made me miss my interview. This app is horrible.

It NEEDS an update where people can upload prerecorded interviews!!! Sorry guys and gals at StoryCorps love you to pieces but this is big! It used to be an option and now it's been taken away. I have some very insightful interviews that the world needs to hear and no way to share them ??? Hate to rate so low, don't want to send out that bad energy to such a great group. Lots of love and I'll definitely re-review when the feature is added back, Ya girl ?

I love everything about Story Corps. And the app works beautifully when I am making my recordings. However I have yet to make one recording that has successfully uploaded to the platform - and I have tried multiple times over multiple days. But every time my upload fails, and I have tried on 3 separate wireless networks. I am beyond frustrated. I've recorded some wonderful interviews with my grandmother that I would love to share with the world. So deeply disappointed.

Thankfully, I had my phone’s voice recorder going or my father-in-law’s interview would have been a disaster. I started the Story Corp recorder at least five times. Each time, it would stop working after a few minutes. So frustrating.

Every time I get out of the app and come back to it, it makes me log in again, and it never accepts my password, so I have to reset it, and even when I do reset it, it still won't accept it. Very upset. ? Good for one time use, but would not recommend otherwise.
