Story Wheel is an educational game that improves your child’s cognitive abilities. Story Wheel helps develop an understanding of story composition, strengthens imagination, and improves oral language skills. It is a perfect complement to your child’s language arts school curriculum.
1-4 players can create a story. Start by spinning the wheel to get a picture. Next, record your voice as you develop a story with that picture. Each player will build upon the story with a new picture. When done, you can listen to your story and share your creations online, or email them to family and friends.
With four themes to choose from, the stories are unlimited.

This is a great little app, allowing you to narrate a story with other people. The graphics are clean, and the add-ons (other icons for use in story telling) are reasonably priced. I will be using it with my writing workshop groups, to generate some interesting stories. There are some limitations - the story has to be 12 illustrations long, and if you quit before you get to that point, you lose what you've already done. But it's fun to use and will appeal to kids.

Great idea, but after spinning a couple times it ALWAYS crashes. I'd actually put money into buying more stories in the application if it actually worked.

I am a Speech Pathologist. I have attempted to use the app on groups. My student's deficits are in oral language skills. Consequently they are slow at formulating sentences for each picture. They also have difficulty with developing a cohesive story. They require cues and modeling. My problem with the app is that it is a 12 page story. With modeling and quick revisions the group runs out of time. You cannot save part of the story nor can you make the story shorter. I think it is has good potential. I would like shorter stories and the ability to save at any point.

I think the concept is great and the app makes story telling fun. My only issues are the story is a little too long and u must complete the story before saving it. Otherwise two thumbs up!

I teach English as a foreign language to children in Japan. My students loved creating their own story and recording it. They have very limited English but even my quietest student was eager to share her ideas with the group and record her part. Their parents were very impressed with the story they made. What a wonderful app! Thank you!
