Stone Solitaire

Stone solitaire is an iPad application which simulates the popular classic game Peg solitaire. This game has a circular board with 33 holes and 32 marbles placed over the holes. The target of this strategy game is to remove as many marbles as possible, by jumping one marble over another, either horizontally or vertically. In the end, one can create a best record by removing 31 marbles from the board in minimum time.

Great game. Colorful marbles and is similar to Peg Jump!

Visually it is eye candy but that is the only favorable element of this app. It does not rotate with the screen orientation and the marbles don't stay put easily when you move them - they tend to snap back to their original place unless you do so carefully, which is NOT the point of this game. Worse, since the iOS6 upgrade, at the end of the game it asks you to post your score to Facebook - and unless you do, you can not get rid of the screen, rendering it unplayable. I refuse to update FB, so now I have no more working app! Fix please! Add to that the outrageous additional charges of 4.99 for each different board design (unnecessary because the game is basically the same) and this app is a flub. The developers had a good idea but they didn't check their work, or have abandoned it since the upgrade. No other reviews on this game, so maybe I'm the fool. A real shame because it looks so gorgeous. Unfortunately, as we all learn, looks ain't everything.
