Recently I had a play analysis that implied queen sacrificing. Other programs couldn’t resolve this. The Stockfish took about 10” to resolve this and was on a medium low performance
Theres a crash when importing PGN from lichess. Usually happens if stockfish was already running in the background but does also occur sometimes even on initial load and paste. Specifically swiping through the first few moves causes the crash. Then import won’t work unless you recopy to phone clipboard. Another bug is analysis does not continue after a move; usually crashes soon after. Otherwise this is a great platform.
I love it to play a game and then replay it with the analysis to see where I made a mistake. A few things that bother me though: + the ai strength always resets to 20 for unknown reasons instead of where I set it + sometimes the ai will glitch and just not move even though time is running + make sure to save the game you are analyzing. Sometimes it will just delete the rest of the game and then you need to reload it Thanks!
Who is most powerful program stockfish or smallfish ????
Strong engine, used to run fine on iPhone, but no longer stable on recent iOS versions: loses track of whose move it is in analysis mode, and often just exits for no reason. This is not surprising since the application hasn’t been updated in 5 years.
I’ll watch analysis and make moves. Then after moving, sometimes it doesn’t revert to analysis. After clicking force move now, it doesn’t revert to analysis. There’s no (easy?) way to swap between analysis and computer and back. Also there is no engine vs engine mode. I want to watch the engine play itself from certain positions. There doesn’t appear to be a think on opponent’s turn either. The engine also doesn’t give hints from certain positions.... I want some candidate moves in such positions if I click hint. No hints available leaves me to blunders... Does the engine give up thinking in such positions?...
