It said I unlock the examiners weapon AND hat. But I don’t unlock either.

This game is addicting fun and I love the hats and weapons ide give it a 5 star if it wasn’t for the fact that it says when you defeat a ‘examiner’ you get the weapon and hat that they wear but for some reason it’s not working? I love this game but you guys need to get on this but besides that it’s Very good!
I love the game but I don’t understand the yellow boat mission

I completed two challenges from the yellow belt mission and One of them I didn’t completed is to kill 86 enemies with a one handed sword but I can’t equip A sword or the broken bottles. Can someone reply back so I can understand this game more better
