Vastly7 different game and interface. I regret upgrading. I'll likely never open the game again and will probably delete it.

I am very sad to have write such a poor review about this game. It used to be similar to a PC trek game from 1990s and was very very fun to play. What's been done now is that the entire game has been changed so that in order to play you had to spend $$ and in order for your ship to have basics like reasonable shields, phasers etc... You have to spend more $$. It's a total rip off and to play the game truely you will have to spend a fortune! The game is truely ruined and now I won't be playing it all. In fact. It's so bad I'm deleting it from my phone. What a shame that they are so greedy they ruined a nice game.

Great game, but it gets boring after awhile

Love the starships, and the game is ok, it was great in the beginning, but you have to mine a lot of dilithium crystals (be better in you get rid of almost all the enemy's first) and that takes time! "yawn"! But I got up to be rear Admiral. But it gets boring real fast? Too bad the makers don't put more starships into the game! I can get a Klingon bird of prey (my next ship) but what's after that? It's has lower power that the experimental super ship that I got! I got 3 more levels? Than what. For the $$ you spend (I bought for upgrade of a ship) it's gets very boring really fast..

I've enjoyed many hours with this app but the charge time takes far too long. You end up staring at the star base for minutes for no good reason. Not good for a game. I haven't purchased any upgrades- earned them the old-fashioned way.

CRASHES and BUGS

This app is kind of fun to play, but riddled with bugs and crashes. Saving the game doesn't guarantee it'll get you back to where you were if your killed. Very unreliable. Never pay for in app purchases. They're just stupid.

This game is addictive! I agree with others that say they like this little game better than the "big name" games. It just keeps getting better!

After having played this game for nearly a month I find it relaxing and enjoyable. There are a couple minor flaws I have run into with the game but nothing horrendous. Every now and then when I have to answer a text message or go to another app and come back the drive control for the ship will stick and will not allow me to maneuver my craft or I would like it to be. It would also be nice to add a confirm to the save and exit and the exit buttons in the in game menu. Occasionally I have pressed the exit button by accident and lost 20 to 30 minutes of gameplay that I have to redo. It would also be nice to have a faster path to upgrading ship orbit around planets to cut down on the amount of time spent while mining for Dilithium. Additionally you are not forced to buy upgrades or other parts essential to the game. The levels become more challenging as they progress but not to the point of frustration.

A Blast From The Past

Back in the mid-1980s, I discovered an early text based computer game based on the old Star Trek TV series, which I played on my TI-99-4a. Back then, it was one of my favorite games. Lo and behold, 30 years later (has it really been that long?), I discovered this little gem, a faithful reproduction of that early game. While the text commands have been replaced by two joysticks that control flying and firing, the basic format is still there. For this grizzled old gamer, this truly is a blast from the past!

What happened?

I'm just sitting, doing something, and I see an update. I instinctively press update. I see what's new and it says updates. So then I go on the app and find out that all the ships don't look like Federation ships. That bugs me because that's one of the reasons I got this game. Maybe a copyright issue? I'm not sure. I just want to know why it's all different.

Would enjoy it if they added more Federation ships and increased some graphics. Would be super cool if they could do 3D and add some of the enterprise lineup in there :-) Overall app performs well fun gameplay but could be better.
