Good fun!

MercN11

I really like this game. I played both versions on ArmorGames and really enjoyed them. They have that Wings of War feel (awesome card game). This game is the perfect blend of all of these other games I have mentioned. Fun, fast-paced, frantic, really gets the blood pumping like any combat flight sim. The music is beautiful. I rate this game 5 stars!

Fun game but...

The core mechanics of Steambirds really are good, but there are deep flaws in the design that ultimately break the game. Most notable among these is the way missiles work. It's bad enough that they apparently choose their targets at random which often leads to a death from your own missile several turns after launch. But far worse, they launch at a low enough speed that, unless you throw your plane into a hard turn as you launch, you'll simply drive straight into your own missile and die. The net effect is that success in later missions is more a result of luck than skill. That's really too bad since the game is fun - up to the point that you realize you may as well just be rolling dice. I urge you guys at Semi Secret to rethink some of your weapon designs. You could have a genuinely excellent little game here.
