Good but... maybe thumbprint login?

It’s a great app, I just don’t want to sign in every time, if this is a setting somewhere then my bad, but I would like a fingerprint login feature!

•Every time I close the app, it signs me out of steam. This only started last week. It’s highly inconvenient to have to log in every single time I launch the app, and there is no clear way of changing it. •Every once in a while, I will get a notification from a friend on steam, but the message disappears from the chat history before I can view it. This is extremely frustrating when I’m in the middle of a conversation. •I get that it’s a mobile app, but even so, it’s very limited in capabilities. Browsing the store, for example, is very slow and laggy. •No proper way to view comments on screenshots, workshop items, etc. Overall, it’s not the worst app ever, but it has a number of flaws that have the potential to render the app unusable.

While I don't use the app to deal with my shopping, I use it to deal with the community market and cards. From what I see, its a mix (with bugs here and there) of a mobile version and the web version, which it shouldn't be. The constant having to log in bugs me V2: After all this time, steam still hasn't fixed the bug where I have to log in every time I need to confirm something. The setting where it should go to a specific page after opening doesn't even matter. VALVE. FIX YOUR STUFF OR GET OFF/TURN OFF THE APP REQUIREMENT

So I'm in the army in Korea and had to get a new phone. I also have to wait for a new gaming pc that I ordered online. So while I was waiting I was going to use the app to buy games I wanted on sale. So when I went to login it asked me for the code. But I don't have that phone anymore so I can't get a code. Then when asked to verify my account it wanted me to use my phone! That I don't have anymore... So I wanted to contact steam but when I click on that it always brings up an error. Every single time I try and contact them. So I'm locked out of my account and can't even buy the games on sale right now. Great. Wonderful. App.
Functional but could be so much more

The steam app is good for checking your wishlist and the sales of the day, perhaps chatting with friends but I don’t use that feature. However, there is little in the way of user friendliness. A lot of the features in the desktop software are with difficult to use or simply missing. For example, I can remove games from my wishlist, or I should be able to do so, but the display makes the remove option inaccessible. Frustrating and emblematic of this app. Steam can and should do better to make this app a real point of access for its loyal customers.

Steam wants to hold a sale for a pair of virtual pants that I found out are worth $30 and I have no use for. So I decided to sell on the marketplace but apparently they are going to hold the listing for 16 days for no reason. I’ve had a steam account for a little less than a year now and I’ve never had any alert of a suspicious login or anything so why the need for “extra security”. Seems like they are just looking for more app downloads. I thought markets like eBay were bad charging 10% fees but at least there I can list something immediately. This is my first ever review of an app on the App Store so that should tell you how unhappy I am, guess I’ll have my $30 in 2-3 weeks

Decent feature set, albeit not too streamlined and a bit clunky. App gets everything I need done, this it’s usable. It just feels horribly dated while doing so. Doesn’t help that it’s using 60% of my screen real estate. Is it that rough to get an update? Last one was a year ago...

I've had no problems, I can access everything I need from steam from the app. Mostly looking up games, sales, updating wishlist for me.
