Nice to see the presence, but barely usable

As a Springfield ex-pat, I was pleasantly surprised to see this app released. Unfortunately, it's only a basic e-reader, and a very clunky one at that. The description doesn't misrepresent; it really is like a PDF version of the physical paper down to the last ink blot. If I try hard, I can read more than a couple articles without getting frustrated. Guys, if you're going to do this and don't want to deal with basic XML feeds and a bare bones app yourselves, try Google or Brightcove's new wysiwyg app creator. Do that, and I will log on (most) every day to catch up on news from the 'Patch!
SJ-R needs an iPad app

This so called app was OK for awhile. The longer I use it the more frustrating it becomes. The SJ-R app has the look and feel of a giant PDF document, and is difficult to navigate and read. Please develop or purchase a true application. To understand what I've requested, take a look at the Chicago Tribune's iPad application. Thank you.
New App Fails!

I did the udate 9/1/12 and now it tells me that I have no Internet connection when, in fact, I do. Worked fine until I took the update!! Bad job on the update, return the workable older version if you can't fix this!!

I hope they make improvements to this soon. When I go to Florida for the winter, I will depend on this app to keep me informed on "home." It is difficult to view. You have to constantly make the page larger in order for the image to sharpen enough where you can read it. You can't just flip page to page like a lot of other newspapers or magazines I read on line.

I sure hope SJR is looking for a different web app to display their news. I sure don't care for this one.

What has happened to this app? There is no breaking news anymore. All this app does is a copy of the newspaper which I already subscribe to. Nothing is updated until the next edition of the paper comes out.
