Fun app with a catchy tune and state trivia that even I found challenging! Great for road trips or just learning about the states with your little ones.

I played with my son and I'm definitely not smarter than a fifth grader. Ha!! A fun and educational way to learn about the States. Great sound. Cute animations.

Great geography app !!

It was fun driving through the states and picking up facts along the way! Enjoyed sending states to statehood.

Educational fun!

My almost 9 year old is enjoying this, and I have been too. The pop up map is helpful, and the brightly colored visuals are fun to refer to. The road trip activity is good for planning skills also- you must head along your chosen route to the end destination, and if you go the wrong way while picking "neighboring states", you will end up in a dead end- then it is time to start over, oops! You answer questions about state facts to earn a "statehood". I like how the statehoods are awarded in chronological order, in terms of which state was founded first- the statehoods earned are placed on a timeline that you can view from the main screen. This is a fun way to learn about our states- I only wish for younger learners or struggling readers that each question and answer could be tapped first to hear it spoken before locking in an answer, currently you must be able to read independently or have an adult nearby. My 3rd grader is able to read and play this independently and I love that he wants to play and is learning!

Finally! U.S. Geography Made Fun!

This fun and educational app will take you on a tour of the United states, either through State Bingo, or through the Road trip option. Both are much more fun than traditional methods of learning US Geography. In State Bingo, there are three settings: easy, medium and hard. Pep, the car is there to remind you that if you need a hint "Try the map". In the easy and medium settings, the map has names of the states, state exports, landmarks, rivers, etc, but the questions are more difficult in the medium setting than the easy setting. In the hard setting, the map only has the names of states, and you answer harder questions with only pictures of states. In the Road Trip Mode, you also have a choice between the the three options: easy, medium, and hard. In the easy setting, you get get to choose between three neighboring states to travel to. Then you will be asked a question about that state. It may be about a city, about an abbreviation for the state, or something else. If you answer it correctly, you move on to to the next state. If answer it incorrectly, Pep the car gets a flat tire. In the easy setting, Pep can get an indefinite amount of flat tires. In the medium setting, pep can get only 4 flat tires before the game ends, plus the questions are more difficult. In the hard setting, the game ends after only 2 flat tires and the questions are more difficult. Also, in the Road Trip Mode, regardless of difficulty, you can pick from a selection of areas of the country and historic trails, including Eastbound Trip, Westbound Trip, Lewis and Clark Trip Oregon Trail, and Pony Express. I do wish there was a way for your child's progress to be recorded or sent to your e-mail (other than the way the game awards "statehood"s for getting answers correct). I also wish there was a way way to turn off the music and sound effects. This can be very distracting for many children like my son. This is a very comprehensive app, especially for the cost. Geography is subject that has not been covered that often by developers, so I am thrilled by this app. This app is challenging enough to play with the whole family, yet, on the easy setting, some 8 to 9 year-olds could get a great jump start with this app, due to the entertaining aspect, and fun graphics. I will be sure to suggest this app to others!

Fun geography games!

An engaging and fun app to learn about the US states both for kids and adults! My daughters liked the driving through the state trivia game very much!

Cute app with lots of potential

I'd like to see a settings menu where we can specify the facts to be learned. Currently, the beginner student must answer more than state name ( order of statehood and other advanced facts ) in the map and roadtrip areas. This can be discouraging for beginners. Great for kids who need to know more than names and capitals, make it more configurable and you have a 5-star app!

Cute, but within 2 minutes I spotted an error

CGMere

Within the Bingo section, there is at least one error. "MO" is not the abbreviation for Montana. It is the abbreviation for Missouri. "MT" is the abbreviation for Montana. I find it hard to believe none of the educators who supposedly rate this app so highly has pointed this out.

Love it !

My 7 year old very quickly got engaged to this app. This one makes great strides from multiple angles. Max loved the graphics, variety of questions and being challenged in a friendly way, while learning new things. The animated car character surely makes you smile, throughout the trip. My biggest complain on OTHER educational apps is to balance the learning aspect with a playful experience - State Bingo really does a GREAT JOB at it ! I kinda like playing with it too, it was a nice refresher for myself :-) I would definatly recommend it ...

Super Cute

Downloaded the app for our road trip this summer. It is really well done visually but needs some help in the content area. I also didn't like that for the "hard" setting in bingo, most of the questions are what order the state was admitted into the union. I don't know if I would consider those questions "hard", but more as impossible. Overall, very fun and entertaining. It just needs a tid bit more refinement. Can't wait for the next update.
