Dissatisfied

The app has earn free credits and in the last month I have filled out hundreds of the ads in the earn free credits and got nothing as far credits as a reward for filling out the ads. From what I can gather it's a lot of data collection so they can call and harass you 40 times a day. Just from the one business I received 28-30 phone calls in a 9 hour period they left 18 messages harassing me about insurance. I had another business call me 5 time a day for 16 days leaving 20 messages. And with what ads I did fill out only received 1/3 of the credits offered. They flood my email with useless crap I'm erasing my mailbox 10x a day because of all the useless crap that's being dumped in my email and still don't get the credits they offer. I refuse to use the free credits offer due to scams and data collecting with out the rewards they promises this app would actually owe me due to I've kept track on how many free credits they DID NOT give me for jumping through the hoops comes up to 3 million, 780 thousand, 549 credits that I DID NOT RECEIVE FROM THEIR OFFERS. So needless to say I'm pretty disappointed with the app right now and considering deleting it. I did like the app was a lot of fun.

Used to be good

Ho28ckey

This app used to be good. They used to have nice cards and sets at reasonable prices. Now everything is way more expensive, and there's no good cards.

Collect virtual cards?

甘い頭蓋骨

I can't believe people pay for virtual things like this. Music and movies, I see that, but the cards are locked within the confines of the game... They'll never have any value... You can't get them CGC'd... Like what's the point? I'm not throwing a penny at garbage like this.

Agreed, waste of time and money

TK2177

Totally BS app. Those that are giving this a 5 star rating must have money to piss away on this. And as others have said, it promises free credits, then never delivers. Don't waste your money or time.

Beware

Bewarebewarebeware

This app is a huge scam! Beware! They will charge you $100 real money for a digital card. Also if they don't like how you use the app , they will ban you from your account with no access to your cards! Please stay away from this app!

Started out fun, Now a confused mess out to get your money.

My Son and I loved this app when it first came out. It was simple and fun. Now, pack overload. Just too much. We stopped playing and deleted the app.

Digital collection = no clutter! But for a price...

Update (8/16) - unfortunately SWCT had gotten a bit too demanding of players. Unless you are willing to spend a lot of time and turning over personal information to multiple companies for free credits, it's incredibly difficult to do any set collecting in this game without investing actual money - potentially $5-$20/month or more. The daily credit freebies are the same but the "Expansion" sets in many cases doubled in cost. Don't get me wrong: much of the Expansion set looks great, but does not merit "charging" players twice as many credits for the privilege of playing, chasing, and collecting. "Fans Choice" has become a joke. Previously you were able to vote and receive a common character card for free, with the highest voted one becoming the FC card and those who chose it receiving it. Now you have to "buy in" to the tune of 15k credits PER CARD for the "nacho" version; the highest voted gets a "ranch" version given to those who chose it. Some weeks have up to six cards. There's an illusion of rarity where there is none since many players feel the design is ugly, plus the same character image is used. Many fans can't "afford" to participate. Rarity of many chase sets is now hidden by making the card count area white. CC text is also white, thus you have no way of gauging the actual rarity of said card, making valuing sets and trades more difficult on the player. Many traders have gotten greedier for this and other reasons, often demanding multiple cards in return for something not particularly rare or exclusive. There are also chase sets that have been all but forgotten about for months with no awards or updates. Topps needs to reduce pack costs, increase daily payouts, and make earning free credits less of a personal ID-demanding grind. Note as of this writing there's a promotion to give away a card set just for completing free offers, with those doing the most offers getting "rarer" cards, which suggests offers aren't being utilized the way Topps wants. Players shouldn't have to spend more time completing offers than collecting and trading. ////////////////////////////// (original review from Spring 2016) I picked up this app as a way to look at cool Star Wars pics but I'm a collector from way back, so quickly got into trying to finish sets and find chase cards! If you can be patient you WILL luck out and pull some neat inserts a couple times a week - after 2-3 weeks of building daily credits I felt like a had a good buffer to pick up more/bigger packs. App rarely has loading issues and recent update makes searching and sorting for trades way easier. One downside is if you're not "paying to play" earning free credits is not consistent. I never qualify for surveys and a lot of the offers feels pretty sketchy - I'm not comfortable giving real info to multiple 3rd parties for samples. Now, that's just me and if I did have the money some of the paid offers (spend $20+ at some site and get a LOT of credits) are legit. So earning credits is annoying but it's not a big deal when with patience you can trade with folks. Finally: I REALLY appreciate Topps letting us message every single image. Can use for phone backgrounds, send to friends, etc. Also the latest series 3 has awesome action shots and good photos of even the bit actors, it really "honors" them and the series well, great job on those photos!

Trades not working

When I traded cards I didn't lose the cards I traded or get the cards I should receive

Rip off

I remember the excitement of running down to the corner store as a kid in the 80s to buy Star Wars cards. The stale gum inside had a memorable flavor that I enjoyed as I went thru my cards. This app gives you electronic versions that aren't nearly as much fun and there's no interesting info on the back. They tint the backgrounds different colors and try to say they are rare. But the worst part is the "free credits" portion with us nothing more than data collecting and most of the time it doesn't work. Right now there's a deal that if you watch an ad, you get a free special cyber card. Surprise surprise it doesn't work. I'm an old lady (at least I probably am compared to other users) and shouldn't be wasting my time with this anymore.
