This epic space pirate RPG offers a deep and challenging world and economy to Star Trading captains. You must navigate the waters of Quadrant politics and chose sides among the constantly conflicting Factions, or take the risk to stay independent. Enjoy endless replay value in this deep space civ and trading simulation which allows you to take any path you want as a captain. Act as a pirate against the merchants using the great shipping lanes, join the Solar War as a military captain, or hunt targets across the Quadrant as a fearsome bounty hunter!
Star Traders is a turn-based strategy role playing game (RPG) inspired by games such as Trade Wars, Space Trader, Master of Orion, Pirates! and many other classic computer RPGs. If you enjoy retro games, adventure and tactics games, Action RPG or Sci-fi RPG with complex depth (such as Master of Orion or Mass Effect) you may enjoy Star Traders space trading simulation.
A permanent $2.99 IAP expands Star Traders with the Elite experience. Elite includes more than 200 new planets, more than 2,000 new sectors in the massive galaxy, over 400 new ships, twice as many rumors and officers, and more unique art!
Advanced ships, ship upgrades and special abilities are unlocked with skillful play. A list of feats and awards can be seen in the 'Unlocks' menu. For players seeking a shortcut, a permanent $4.99 IAP immediately grants all feats and awards to all characters.
Our development team is actively continuing development and updates based on your feedback and is regularly updated with new content, features, and fixes. Please email us with suggestions or bugs!

Great space trading - pirate - combat - exploration game that has the irritating habit of just crashing in the middle of the game. This is especially bothersome when you are in the middle of confiscating the valuable cargo you just spent 5 minutes capturing - after the crash the reload takes you back to the location but unfortunately all that loot has just disappeared. Not sure I want to buy a game like that. Fix, please...
Latest update limits available content for non-elites. For example, certain upgrades now require Elite status to use. How unfortunate.
This is one of my favorite all time phone games. If you aren't playing it you are missing out.
By far, one of my favorite mobile platform rpg games. Glad it has come to iOS format, playing on the iPad is a great experience. Love the sandbox gameplay that lets you play mostly how you want, be it trading, exploring, mission running, pirating, as a loyal faction member or juggling several. This game will only get better as they release more content for the iOS version, and its extremely well priced, no nickel and diming with in app purchases!
Obviously this game is extremely plagiarized, but it's still fun. A nostalgic blast, in the vein of the old space pirates shockwave games from '97, and the original star trader games.
If you're looking for a space RPG along the lines of an old BBS Trade Wars game, look no further. This game is a gem in the rough. Massive amounts of depth and a wide open world make it easy to get sucked in for hours.
There's no good tutorial, the interface is hard to figure out, and for a game this complex there needs to be a much better help system than a link to the forums and the empty wiki page. This game could be fun if learning to play was A LOT easier
I agree with the previous post. It looks like it could be good if there was a tutorial. The description of the game content is great. But it's missing basics like: •What each button is and what they do •How to move the ship •How to "complete" a contract (I'm stuck on the first mission. I've reached the destination grid -11,-11.... But nothing happens. My contract is still there waiting to be finished) •How to land on planets ... And other basic game mechanics
