This app is cute and I love the AR feature, however they are missing the most basic notification function that reminds people to stand every hour (Apple Watch doesn’t remind you to stand after you meet the 12-stand goal).

So who thinks it’s fun to stand up in the middle of a movie? Not I. With StandLand you have something visual to motivate you to be active every hour you are active instead of just loading on the sofa for the duration of your Netflix mini-marathon.

I’ve only had this app since Christmas when I got an Apple Watch for Christmas. I really like the challenges it provides. The only think I don’t like is that I do not get credit for standing unless I am actually walking. I have a desk job with a stand up desk so I stand often during my day, I move, stretch, shift my weight & wiggle and don’t get a stand credit unless I talk steps. Just standing & moving is not enough. But it’s a fun app.

On more than one occasion I have seen that I was one stand short and stood, moved around and been active but the app does not credit the stand and it blows a whole mission that I have to start over. Very frustrating.

The 3D view, the immediate gratification, the accumulated rewards, the screen taps all combine to make this a perfect game app for those of us who don't like thinking about what this app is really for. I needed something that would be fun, and encouraging, and gentle. I can get points by walking around inside my house. I don't need to improve my thumb precision, and I can't miss. The scenes make me feel peaceful and happy, and I love having "visitors". Now, if I need to take something upstairs, I walk around the first floor for a minute instead of going directly up and coming directly down. It is great to get validation for the small efforts in such a cute way. I have been searching for an app like this one for a long time.
