• Browsing at the bookstore? Scan a book's barcode to quickly add it to your list.
• When you're ready to start reading, link to buy the book on iBooks, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.
I was able to scan a few books in. Not all the books in it's catalog show the cover. And worse yet, the name does not appear under the book icon. So I have many books that have a default green icon with no name and no easy way to tell what book it is. It has no discernable way of organizing on the shelf (by author or genre). No easy way to move to another shelf (I know you can do so by downloading another app). Also, I have a lot of books that do not have barcodes and do not even appear in it's catalog. I would also like to view the shelves by title instead of cover. Keep working on it. Thanks,
This app is a very good companion app to Goodreads, allowing you to import your bookshelves. Quick and simple way to track what you are reading. And the developer is A1. Responded to an issue the same day it was reported and worked out what was at the root of it the same day.
Simple, minimalist & connects to Goodreads. My only wish is for it to have finished volumes on a timescale so you can see how many you've read in the past months/years & perhaps a counter at the top of each page for the number of books. Fantastic app though!
Great app for keeping list of books read and books to read. Easy to add books via author and/or title. Try entering author, see list of books published and just point and mark as read. Couple new features would make this perfect: 1) let me search Books Read. 2) let me see list of books in list form (i.e. just text showing title & author) and let me sort list by either title or author (sort titles within author). 3) export list to csv format (or whatever format Goodreads uses for import.....forgive my ignorance as I'm not user of Goodreads). themurfs
Just got this, like simple interface, browse books by cover, keep lists of To Read, Reading, Finished. Links to Goodreads acct if you have one. The Fastest if these apps to add your information!!!
This is honestly one of the best bookshelf apps I've ever found. To be more precise, its potential is limitless. I love the physical look of a book being on my list, on my reading list, and being able move it to my finished books list. That said, the search feature does NOT work. It worked a few times and the just does not search no matter how many times I close the app and re-open it. If I can't add books to my list then there is absolutely no point in continuing to use it, hence my two stars. I am super disappointed. I really loved the simple interface and the whole simplicity of the tool. BUT IT DOES NOT PERFORM ITS SELLING POINT WHICH IS TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO ADD BOOKS TO LISTS.
I love the simplicity of read not read and finished. I also love seeing the actually covers of he books. What I would like to see is a wish list. I don't buy my books in sequence, so sometimes I may not have book three of five in a series and forget the name or forget that I already own a book from that series.
This is an amazing app if your a book nerd and just cannot keep up. You can organize all these book into 3 categories, and even ones that haven't come out yet. 1)my one suggestion would be to allow one to put their "on my list" in order
Love this app but I can't get the scan feature to work on any book. I've tried in perfect light, focus, every angle I can think off. Still can't get it to scan.
This works quite well for me, but I wish there were a way to delete a title. It would also be neat to be able to add a brief note, like who recommended a book, and to add a "date read" function to completed books.
