Squares is a really smart and challenging game with major difficulties to conquer. In addition, it has been designed with basic, solid colors for the squares on a pure white background, completely reminiscent of the work of mid-20th century Dutch artist Mondrian. It's possible however that there could be a tiny bit more levels that are easier to solve just for the rush of satisfaction that can be had. But the game does do this at times regardless...

Finished all levels. Yay! Clone or no clone (credit to original HTML5 game given in description), this is a nice implementation. Minimalist, unencumbered design helps to keep the focus. I think there's one sound fx in the whole thing, and that's tominform younthat you've completed a puzzle (in case you weren't paying attention). The later levels definitely require some thought and strategery. Also, no IAP, which is nice.

Puzzles are hard. Like the positive reinforcement once completed. Are there any puzzle games that start out with clockwise progression?

This game is truly awesome. It's simple enough in concept for quick casual playing, but compelling and hard enough (especially in the harder levels) for really sitting down and putting in some effort/time. Well worth the $1.99 — it's nice to play a game with no ads, interruptions, etc. Great design, great gameplay, and great puzzles.
Good but hard game

At first game is very interesting & I love the challenge. Very quickly the game becomes so difficult that I get discouraged. It does take a lot of thinking & reasoning but would like to figure out some way to get hints so won't be so frustrating. Game is actually a fun different game
