Awesome app, the best of its kind! Some features I wish it had: -The ability to change the look of the app, (such as changing the look of the compass on screen) -A data output stream for scientific applications, (motion data from gyro, velocity, etc.) -A 3D map overlay for the compass for better navigation. -Google earth imagery superimposed on the compass screen Overall, an awesome app and worth the money.

This app is hard to use, and the camera function doesn't really gain you a lot. Try using a real navigation app like MotionX.

This app is the worst example of poor documentation. The company can not provide simple explanations of the basic uses of this app.

I really like the app but while using the MGRS to mark waypoint it uses the wrong grid zone identifier. I live and hike in southern Arizona along the Mexican border. The grid zone identifier is 12R but Spyglass displays 12N. This is a significant problem. My Garmin, Motion-X, military issued maps and USGS maps all use 12R. Please fix and I upgrade to 4 Stars. It is a battery hog.

Compass points about 180 degrees out of where I point the iPhone. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Saved me multiple times where other apps failed, thanks to celestial calibration method. 2 Ddougb: To use the app effectively, as with any piece of software there are two thing required. To learn basics about the app. To think at least a little. If you use a magnetic lock preventing that interferes with the digital compass sensor, it's your problem, not the apps'. At least you could watch the 2 minutes video about how to calibrate and verify compass accuracy. At max you could read the manual chapter about it. 2 Ronin Security: It is 12R for south Arizona. Unless you use UTM bands for display. Check in the app settings.

Over the years I have bought around a dozen Garmins. Yeow! Now Spyglass has sunk that Garmin ship. Garmin support won't answer emails. Too big for their britches I guess. Thank you, Spyglass. Old Alaska bush rat surveyor.
