Lack of Notifications & Lack of Information
SubstituteTeacher2018

I came here to comment on the lack of notifications when substitute jobs are posted, but I see I am not the only one with this issue. If I don’t check the app continuously, I will never get a sub job. This app needs the option to have sound notifications when a job is posted. I would prefer it be set up with text notifications, like the last company had set up, but I would be satisfied with sound notifications directly from the app. My other issue is when a job is posted, it only gives the information of the school. There is no teacher name or grade level listed. This is important information to know! Some subs are not comfortable working with certain grade levels or in a Special Education classroom.

The latest version appears to have no way to ask for help in app. The only thing that appears on the screen when you press the help menu is past conversation.

Not the best

The app crashes . When you click on certain things the whole app turns to a blank page . Won’t allow you to make a lot of corrections .

Still too many bugs...

1) App is really slow when it comes to clocking in and out 2) the number of jobs isn’t accurate on search page vs when you click onto see the job (when you click on the job, it shows a lesser number) 3) job description doesn’t provide details when it requires an administrator approval. Otherwise I wouldn’t have applied. Many people showed up at schools and they weren’t notified that the school admins have to contact you before you accept the job 4) takes forever to load and have to shut down for it to work again

Terrible app

The app has created so many issues in subbing for me. Jobs appear in the app that are no longer available, I receive notifications saying I’ve accepted a job and then when I click on it it’s no longer there, and I’ve arrived for a job only to have the office assistant tell me that 2 others had already come for the same job. Also, the notifications generally only show up when I’m on the phone, so I have to open the app in order to see jobs which is difficult in the early mornings. Also, the app take FOREVER to load and update. The support team seem helpful but they have to get a new app or do some software changes in order to improve their business.

App needs to be fixed

The app takes a long time to load. I just tried to go on to check notifications. It took over 10 minutes for it to load the main screens and I’ve been waiting over 10 minutes for the screen to load my teams and then specific teams.

Alabama Sub
Alabama Sub

This is without a doubt the worst app I have ever seen. The time clock feature is a nightmare. You start your shift, when you go to clock out for a break, the app will say you have been on break since the time you clocked in! Every day, I have to call customer service to have my time adjusted, so that I am paid for the actual amount of time I worked! I have tried looking at my phone several times during the day, and it will show me as being “on shift” but that changes anytime I go to clock out or take a break. Tell me, how could someone clock in and start a break at exactly the same time? Calling customer service is an even bigger aggravation than trying to use the app. Your call will disconnect after being on hold for 15 minutes. I have had to spend close to an hour trying to get through to someone so that my time can be adjusted. To make matters worse, more often than not, you can’t get the app to open. Anytime several people are trying to use it at once, such as the start or end of the school day, it freezes up. If zero stars were and option, that is what this app deserves. It is useless!!!

Very frustrating

I felt led to leave this review after I couldn’t accept a subbing job this morning because the app would not load anything... last week I discovered most of the jobs don’t list the correct school that goes with the name of the person you’re filling in for. I accepted a job and showed up and they told me they didn’t have an employee by the name the app told me. After contacting spur support they told me they had some aides moved schools right when the school year started... so basically some schools are getting subs they don’t need and others aren’t getting a sub that they do need. I think everyone involved within the schools is beyond frustrated, as well as all the subs.

Takes forever to load

I have been missing jobs since the school year started. I ended up upgrading my phone yesterday , something I didn’t want to do, but since it takes me forever to open the app I had to. I hope this job I’m going to today pays me because the teacher requested me and I cannot get in to accept if needed. I’m disappointed!!

App freezes
csedote

At first, I thought this was going to be a good app, but I have problems with the app freezing up all the time. I go to check the app, and it is frozen on the purple screen with your logo. It will not do anything else. I usually have to restart my phone for it to work. Also, I would like to see an option where you can select to only see certain jobs (I only want to see Elementary jobs). I also want to be able to know what grade I am subbing for when I accept a job.
