It's a great app...wish it could load PDFs.

One click wonder

Processing text files, PDF, word documents, is a wish I have for this app.

Custom Articles

Great, but I’d like to see this in conjuction with an app like Pocket, so that you can speed read the articles you « saved » online. This way one is not limited to just the books from Gutenberg project. hope this helps. (something like squirt.io) Thank you

New language

Awesome for speed reading!

I've been waiting for something just like this. If you haven't heard of the Spritz technology, go do some research right now, and download this app.

Very interesting.

A new way to read, without having to move your eyes left to right.

LOTS of potential!

This is a great app that uses the awesome Spritz technology. This app is even better than before now that it can read txt files. However, it seems that there is a length limit on text files? I imported a novel in txt format, but unfortunately, the app won't read it. Great app, and when I can use it to read entire novels, it will be even greater!

Fantastic Experience!

This application is an epic leap forward in reading technology where most people had long given up hope for improvement. For instance, you're last kindle update STILL doesn't have the all the functionality of an early 2000's version of Microsoft Reader... Talk about disappointment. But THIS application quite simply changes everything.. And it's barely out of beta phase. Still, it marks the onset of the next REVOLUTION in reading technology. Not a new font... Not a new "kindle page turning animation"... Nothing is the same... I mean. There ARE no pages anyway. The rules of reading will have begin anew with this one. -Zack

Clean, and quickly improving

Since the Spritz engine was released I've downloaded a handful of apps using the RSVP reading method. By far my favorite is SprintReader. The interface is simple and clean, no frills to distract you When I first downloaded it the resolution of available speeds was horrid...a jump of 200 each time! Then I noticed the "Feedback" button. It lets you send an email straight to the developer to give suggestions. I sent in my 2¢, and got a reply within a day that he was already working on the WPM gradient. A few days laster, there's an update and there it is! I'd also like to be able to import eBooks, but I'm sure that function is on the horizon. I'd give this 3 stars because of its limits, but I'm adding one because of the developer's responsiveness. I can see this app going great places quickly!

Broken after latest update

Humbertesque

100wpm screams by at what appears to be at least 400wpm (I was quite comfortably practicing at 600wpm before this latest update) and the pacing of the text seems all wrong on top of that. Please fix it.

Very promising!

The best app using the new Spritz speed reader SDK. I'm giving this 5 stars because it's everything I hoped for in spite of a few quibbles, namely the current lack of a bookmark/resume feature (you have to start from scratch every time!), lack of ePub/mobi support, and a feedback button that doesn't do anything. But the author seems to be very quick with updates, so I'm not at all worried. Brilliant.
