Spikeball For Two is a fun action game specifically made for the iPad, and specifically for two players on a shared iPad. Your goal is to steer your spiketail using the colored control circle to push the lightball into the opposing goal. The further your finger taps away from the center of the control circle, the faster your spiketail will move... but be careful, because when you collide with the spiked tail of your opposing player, you'll be poisoned for a while and inable to move!

The first player to score four goals wins. Extra pills appear throughout the game; eat them (or wait for them to auto-activate) and a special extra round will start. Extras include icy grounds that make it harder to steer, diamond hunts where the player who collects more will score a goal point, invisibility which will make your spiketail much harder to see, and more.

You can play Spikeball at home or in pubs, cafes, the train, or anywhere else where you can take your iPad with you! The game opens up immediately without the need to click through intro screens or settings, ideal for a casual local multiplayer game with friends or strangers. You can also prepare for the two-player game with a bonus single-player training mode, in which you try to collect all diamonds in a spiked maze in the shortest possible time. Spikeball (available with Retina graphics) features over 20 different extra modes popping up during the game; refine your strategy and skill to master them all against opponents!

I had too much fun challenging friends to a duel of Spikeball. This app is great for those competitive types... The on-screen joystick was very responsive. You will definitely need a bit of skill for the mazes and other "surprises." Easy to learn, hard to master!

I admit this isn't the most addictive game in the world, nor too advanced. Then again, multiplayer games on something like the iPad shouldn't be too advanced, otherwise you won't be able to find many that'll play the game with you, unless you want to teach someone how to play a game and always play with them. This will always be a top choice when looking for a quick fun multiplayer game on my iPad. :D

Excellent 2 player game. Kinda hard to figure out the controls at first but after a minute of practice you're good to go. The concept is simple: defend your home goal area, put the ball into your opponents home goal area (basic air hockey idea) but both players use the entire board. You just have to watch out for each others tails or else you'll be disengaged and left defenseless. And when the developers could have left the game as simple as that they decided to toss in dynamic change-ups like wobble, magnet, collect in a row, confusion, and others. Great game when you're tired of being antisocial with your iPad! And it's free!
