My go-to email app

Klaviermann76

This has quickly become my default email app on iOS. I love the way it presents email in a conversation/text message like view. I definitely appreciate this view when receiving complicated email threads. The chat and call features seem nice but I don't know of many others who use the app to take advantage of them. If I had one concern it would be the lack of updates for the app, but honestly I'm not sure what needs to be added to the app.

People focused email

I like the updated Hop Email app even more than some of the other big email apps. It's quick, well laid out, and has many great features. With a little tweaking you can customize the look and functionality. Hop's Priority inbox puts email into two categories: 1) from people you know, 2) "other" inbox for every other source (newsletter, ad, notification, etc.). This helps cut through the clutter to quickly see the conversations that are more relevant to you. It also turns each email into a threaded conversation (like iMessage), so you can see the ongoing conversations/history rather than just one email by itself. You can also easily unsubscribe from newsletters. Other good features: The lightweight calendar to view upcoming events, a "People" tab to jump to emails from frequenly contacted people, and a very good search to find specific emails and recently received files. There's also the ability to snooze messages to deal with later (note that the "...More" pop-up also contains options to pin message, move to priority, and mute notifications). The in-app browser lets you quickly jump to links in an email without leaving the app. File attachment support is also very good as you would expect from a power email app. Other small features like quick translate, per sender notifications, read receipts, and ability to move messages to a folder are unique and useful. Overall one of the best email apps on iOS. Wish list: -Could use a way to quickly add a calendar event from a date mentioned in an email. -Print to PDF would be useful.

I like hop, it’s fast and easy to use. Custom swipe gestures are missing. Hope they will be added soon.

Favorite Email app for iOS

Hop came out a few years ago and had a great new idea on how to use email. It didn't really work for me because I needed to use it for both personal and business uses. They recently update it and I was excited to see how they updated it. Their new updates after 2.0 are great! Combines the best of other emails apps including snoozing, and a priority inbox while still keeping the simplicity of email focused on people. Easy to keep conversations going and still having the options for professional email (signatures). You need to do a little tweaking to set it up just how you want, but it is lightning fast compared to Spark, or Outlook, or Airmail. There are a few little features that would be nice, but it from responses, their support is great and they are working on updates quickly. Definitely give this a try! It has just the right features. They keep updating the app frequently with even more features. Continues to be the best mobile email. Can't wait for the desktop version!
