I very rarely invest in apps that cost to download and even then I am extremely picky about what I purchase. Spider-Man Total Mayhem was definitely a sound investment. I love Spider-Man and Spider-Man games. My expectations were high coming into this game & I was not disappointed. The free-flow combat style, the challenging level design, and cut scene mini games all create a solid Spider-Man title that's sure to entertain for several replays. Gameplay: Gameloft has taken the free-flow combat style of the Batman Arkham series and the exhilarating mini-game style of the God of War series and created an action-packed beat-em-up Spider-Man adventure. Ripping through various thugs, symbiotes, & robots is a fun mixture of button-mashing and strategy thanks to Spider-Man's easy-to-use controls. Combining ground, aerial, & web attacks w/ Spidey's counter attacks is very satisfying. Combat is cleverly broken up by level exploration that's primarily platform based. You climb walls, Tarzan-slide along power lines, poles, and train tracks, websling from building to building, all the while finding bonus artwork as u make ur way thru each level. Health & skill point boosts are cleverly integrated with tied up citizens that u rescue w/ quick button-mashing mini games. Boss fights are clever and can be frustrating at times. Villains weaknesses are never obvious so plan on taking a beating or two before u finally take the famous villain down in each fight. Winning boss fights are satisfying and each one is about as difficult as the rest. Even the final battle w/ Norman Osborn just requires some precision & a little patience. Gamers using smart phones w/ smaller screens may find themselves pressing the wrong button several times while embroiled in combat or trying to execute a well timed websling. Story: Nothing shocking or especially novel about this game's plot. Spider-Man finds himself hunting down several major super villains who have suddenly escaped the Triskellion due to a massive explosion. As a result symbiotes are running rampant & New York's finest robot army is set loose leaving u fighting the good guys & the bad guys while tracking down ur biggest enemies. Graphics: New York comes alive in this colorful rendition. Levels are vibrant & characters are detailed & cool-looking. Beautiful for handheld devices. Soundtrack: the voice work is characteristically comical & naturally Spider-Man pulls plenty of his quippy one-liners while taking down baddies. Punching & cracking sounds add a satisfying touch to the combat. The music is fast paced & adds to the action but nothing masterful or memorable. Replayability: Dedicated gamers will fly thru this game in less than a couple days. The story is very short. But the addictive combat & desire to beat ur best score on each level will keep u coming back. Playing the game once thru will not be enough for gamers to reveal all of Spidey's crazy fighting combos & once u play it one time thru u can play as black-suit Spider-Man who has some new & exciting moves to bring to the battle. I never give 5 stars (not even to my favorite app before this one) so the fact this game nailed a 5 star rating from me is saying something. Gameloft has created a beautiful stand-alone Spider-Man title. It outdoes even the most recent Spider-Man Unlimited app in this gamer's opinion. More could have been done with the story but because of the replayability it doesn't leave u wanting.

I love the game but

Costumes?

I like the game but are there different costumes?

Bored

El zane

I so love this game. But I finish every level and. I don't want to brag but I know almost every thing about Spider-man. I really went to play as crange or at least let me fight him with venom at his side that would be so awesome. I kraven ,lizard, mysterio, ect. And if you put in every one spider-man from comic and show that would be good. So please so many people love this if you do this I'm sure you will get more people to play this. Spider-man rocks. Also not really important I am not Spanish my name is el zane because I love Mexico. And you could put in deadpool or spider-man 2099. but please do you even read our review I want proof please. It 2014 I wrote this comment a few year ago. You did nothing you people are so lazy that you don't read our comment pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! And please let me play as spider man

Pretty good game but with limits

A true fnaf fan

I'm a huge Spiderman fan but there needs to be a free roam option because you barely web-sling and when you do it doesn't look good and the rhino fight was the second boss, why so hard but in all its a good game with a bad voice actor

Decent game

Would've loved it even more if it had more missions or even free roam.
