This app implies there is some measure of sample when it allows a download without purchase. This is the customary function of the Get button in the App Store. After downloading to the phone, nothing can be played without first paying $4.99. I would have happily paid that price for spelling software I was happy with but I will not being giving any money to a developer that won’t give me even a sample, especially after I downloaded the app under the impression there would be at least something to see how the game worked. Either use the Get button, give a sample and option to unlock the rest of he app or put the price up front before download with better examples and explanation of why the app is worth the money up front. On top of that, I couldn’t even get a profile properly set up without internal error messages demanding a password. If I can’t even get a simple profile established in the settings, and I can’t see a sample, there isn’t a change I’ll waste $4.99 to try to go further with this app.

Bug with apostrophe words

We got this for our incoming 5th grader to work on her spelling. Overall decent However, words with apostrophes are not recognized. The app asks her to spell “doesn’t”. The character count is correct but it will not accept that spelling. If you press hint it even says to spell it as “doesn’t” This is quite frustrating for her.

I wish I'd read the one star reviews first! Like many others, I tried to join a "class" and entered the code at the prompt. Suddenly, I'd paid $5 for something I didn't even want!!! Thinking I might as well use it, I tried to go back into the class and got the same prompt again. Can't even access the section I was tricked into paying for. Wish I could give it zero stars.

The app is very hard to use and then I unlocked something to see some words and before I knew it, I agreed to pay 5 dollars. Now I can’t even find the thing I paid for. I use apps all the time so this is not use error.
