I gather from other reviews that the developer is trading free apps for positive reviews. If this is really true then Apple should pull the app and ban the developer from the app store. This is not such a review. I paid for the app, although it was a bad decision on my part. My need was primarily for a speed test, functionality which this app purports to offer. What I discovered too late was that the so-called speed test is a simplistic ping test. While this may provide some insight into lag times for a packet, it does very little to illuminate actual performance. A proper speed test will upload and download one or more payloads to/from one or more targets on the Internet. The result is then calculated to provide transfer rates up and down. This app does none of that, it only displays ping times. So I bought a speed test and got a very limited sort of ping utility. Very disappointing. Normally I would accept full blame for shopping too hurriedly, but if the developer is manipulating the review process as some have suggested, then shame on them.
This app does very little. The “speed test" rates “0”; the only thing it does is ping Google‘s DNS server at 8.8.8.8 — not a speed test. It does report the devices on your LAN, but so do dozens of others. Don’t waste your storage space or time.
Does everything I need it to and more. Simple to use so even non-tech people can understand it.
This app wants me to write review before even I can use features. I will update my rating based on my experience later.
