Be Aware of What's Coming
ciiguy

If you download the free version of this app, you should be made aware of what's ahead. In the first place, Speed Geography Lite diabolically chooses to omit the continents of Africa and Asia where most would-be geographers are a little fuzzy on the location (if not the very existence) of the various nations, therefore you are invited to correct this oversight by purchasing the "complete" app for two more bucks. Even with the purchased app, many of the more obscure countries (most of the island nations, for example) are ignored. When you feel that it's time to match the capitals to the countries, you'll be informed that that privilege will cost you yet another two bucks. Although the game of finding all the countries may be almost worth the cost, the addition of the capital locator is definitely not--unless you have a burning desire to learn the location of the capital within the country. What is presented are the capital city and the country (i.e. Tashkent, Uzbekestan) and it becomes your challenge to identify the location of the city within the country. Such a presentation is not very helpful when it comes to matching the capitals to the countries. What would be more useful is if only the capital was given and you were tasked with matching it to it's respective nation (perhaps with bonus points for tapping it's approximate location. My formula for rating this app is as follows: Free App = 5 stars, Extended Nation Search = 3 stars (due to its unwarranted expense) and Capital App = 1. The result of dividing the total (9) by 3 (reviews) is 3 stars.

Excellent
The Last Troubador

Wonderful interface, Simple, Fun, I'm glad I stumbled on this app. I wonder why it haven't gotten more attention. We will be incorporating it into our home schooling

Decent Geography Study Aid

I have gotten a lot out of this app. I can now name all the countries in Africa, for example, either by list or with a blank map. The interface is clean and stable, and I wholeheartedly recommend this app. But... Why not add ALL countries? Vatican City's there, but what about Taiwan, Kosovo, South Sudan, and ALL the independent Caribbean islands (why is Anguilla listed but not Dominica, for example)? Also, it would be nice to be able to choose a specific geographic area--a single continent at least--to study, rather than having to go through each one each time you play.

App

I really like this for studying but I wish it had Africa. I do not want to get the free version if it does not have an Africa either, so this app which is very good and the best one I have tried so far but I really need africa

Good game, free version is tiny
mcdisney2001

It's a nice setup, where you are given a region and have to click on the correct area of the map. I liked it, but the free version only took about three minutes. Then it was done, and I'd have to pay $1.99 for the full version. Seems alright, might be worth the two bucks, but be aware that the free version is basically just going to be a trial.
