My company relies on this app and company to handle our calls. It fails often. The app is not developed well. Calls can ONLY be received if the app is open on your phone screen. Absolutely useless in its current state. Please fix your broken app, your customers desperately need it.

Updated: for the last month the app won’t open at all on my Apple device it just gives me a white screen. I’ve tried re installing with no luck. A complete waste of space. Original: Haven’t had too many problems on my Apple device. A few calls dropped over the last year. However, it is barely functional on Android devices. So frustrating and useless.

Can’t get setting right to use. When I travel I have to delete and reinstall. Then I learned when I traveled I have to remove it from the wifi to get it to work. Super frustrating. My office hasn’t liked it and changing to this service has made me look bad as the business manager. Don’t recommend. Lots of frustrations and would not do again.

I’ve downloaded the app since this is the service our firm is now using and I’ve have run into several problems. There was a major delay when a call would come in and when a call would come in and answered, the same call would ring numerous times to dead air so I had to delete and re add the app. Now I can not receive any calls to my phone. So the numerous calls have stopped but no longer receive calls.

I was informed by a tech that in order for my app to work I have to disconnect from WiFi. He didn’t know what’s causing the issue but that it’s a known problem. This is very inconvenient. I am currently disconnected from my wifi but still cannot make outgoing calls. This app and phone system is supposed to make working remotely easier. But it’s been nothing but a headache.

We’ve used this phone service and app in my office for about a year now and its been a disappointment. It’s inconsistent and buggy. Works one day then glitchy the next. Works on some iPhones but not others. Some calls are clear, others have a lot of static. Some voicemails and notifications are received, others never make it. Then, the next day, all the problems flop to the other users in the office. One of the specific issues we have is that incoming calls only ring ONCE on some of our iPhones, then the call disappears. There’s no way to answer the phone that quickly. We stumbled onto a fix that requires us to disconnect these phones from wifi when they're in the office. I read the other reviews here which mention a similar problem. We signed a three year contract with this company. Only two more years to go…


Does NOT work!

Awful app to say the least. It ONLY works if the app is open and active. It kicks you out as soon as your screen turns off or if you open another app. There is an option in Settings to let the app run in the background but it does not work. In fact, that dial goes back to “off” as soon as you move out of the app. Very disappointing!

I have had nothing but trouble with Spectrum VOIP. This app was my saving grace when away from the office but now it is just an app taking up space on my iPhone. I can place calls and intercom but nobody can hear me. It is as if the microphone does not work. This makes the app useless for communicating with my staff. We have checked all settings and allowed all the appropriate access to the microphone. My team has been very disappointed with the implementation of the entire phone system and now we can’t even use a simple app. Think twice before using SPECTRUMVOIP as your phone solution as it is unreliable at best.

Lots of good fixes since the 08/18 update. App works when phone is locked now, huge fix. But, I no longer receive notifications on my watch, annoying but not a deal breaker. Can you make the dial/hang up button smaller? I’ve accidentally hung up on clients with my cheek several times!
