Can't get notes from spectrograph

Ladyjade3

I bought this to help transcribe music. But there is no tool for extracting notes from the spectrograph, so unless you manually convert frequency (Hz) to notes, which is laborious, it's useless. Spectrogram Pro does this for $2.99; I was hoping this would have some additional useful features, but really none of the modes but the spectrograph are useful for transcription.

Excellent reference tool

Tnipp67

Bought this app for an on the fly reference tool. First opportunity to try it out was at the local theater last night. Seven actors with lapel Mics and feedback galore. Within minutes we had identified resonate frequencies in the room and made adjustments. A must have for any serious sound man.

Great App

Wintersyn

This makes RTA of car audio systems much easier.

Good but needs adjustable vertical DB scale

Soundman Dave

I like the app and its simplicity but I could not locate a way to adjust the vertical scale to a 1 DB per division resolution. Since I already own the app this improvement would make it great

One of the Best IOS RTA apps! And cheap too!

btoml00

I use this regularly with a Dbx rta mic connected to a I'm multimedia iMicPre that connects into the headphone jack. The app picks it up and it works flawlessly. The way the UI handles averaging is elegant in my opinion!

Really cool tool and good support

GMuny

Works well, support provided clear options for my needs other than an external mic. Am able to connect monitor selects/cues straight from my board to my iPad/iPhone; using other vendor connections. It woul be nice if the app had an oscope function.

Very cool

ekenster

This app works. I can sit for hours just watching it. Great price and does exactly what it says it does. I used it to tune my new audio system in my car.

Great App

kscott2010

Works well... Seems to pickup and read a lot of very sub low all the time though. Thinking about buying MicW i436 to further improve the functionality of the app. Would like to see an SPL feature added that tells me how "loud" it is in the room.

Great educational tool!

onethirdoctave

I work in the acoustics field, and this app is a great education and outreach tool. The spectral view is beautiful, and the choice of log vs. linear scale is important for teaching the differences between high frequency signals and low frequency signals. The developer is very responsive, always a plus in my book.
