The updates keep coming and my kids love them. It keeps their attention better than any other app I have. Their reading skills keep improving as well.
Does not keep you logged in on your devices

My son loves this app, but we have to login every time we use it. We have this app on our phone and iPad. I paid for the entire year and I'm regretting it somewhat for that reason. I went as far as emailing and calling their customer service about a month ago and never got a response which is disappointing. I was hoping an update would fix this. We have ABC Mouse and we never have this problem having to login every time we use it. I would recommend ABC Mouse over speakaboos; it's more educational, more personalized and it has just as many stories.
Reading while surrounded by tech

I am a book lover and always imagined my kids would be too. When my son was born I couldn't wait to share the experience of reading with him. Thing is my husband and his family are obsessed with electronics and where you would find my shelves full of books, theirs are full of tech gadgets. After two years of trying to compromise and/or not force the topic I finally found a workable compromise! It's not exactly as I imagined it but my son still sits in my lap as we read, sing and play together using speakaboos. And without realizing it, speakaboos is also encouraging my 30 year old husband to read more. :) LOVE IT!!!
Always crashes

The app is basically like watching movies with subtitles. It always crashes. And they don't send you a reminder before the subscription renewal comes up. Overall crappy app.

We have had this app for 2 years and I rave about it to all my friends. It's the only kids subscription app we pay for and it's worth the money. My 3 & 4 year old kids adore the stories and songs, and I feel good knowing that they are being "read to" and that the books/songs are of the highest quality. My ONLY gripe is that the app often logs us out between uses. As a result, when I need to quickly hand my iPad to a child who woke up at 5am or a child who is having an epic meltdown at the fancy restaurant, I sometimes have to click through 2 security screens and enter 40+ characters just to get back into my Speakaboos account. By this time, well, I'm wishing I'd just let them watch YouTube videos ? but seriously...Speakaboos...fix this bug please! Otherwise, much love for the 'boos.
Great for bedtime, but...

This is a great app and I'm glad my kiddos can follow along with the highlighted words at the bottom. Some stories are interactive as well. They now want a "story on daddy's phone" every night (yes, I still read the "old-fashioned" way as well). BUT...$7.99 per month is way too much for this app! That's why the 3 stars instead of 5. It will be deleted next month. It's a shame. They just priced themselves incorrectly. ☹️

I tried the free trial and forgot to cancel before it expires. BUt nothing thatI can do but to use it hoping it will help my 6 year old to get him into reading. I used it a few times in a month since there are not very many stories to read and iit takes them a while to upload new stories. My son has a reading log every night from school but the stories that they are not enough. Unless you keep reading the same stories over and over. I am hoping that they have more variety of reading material available because for the price $72 it is not worth it. I would recommend amazon rapids fro $29/year, since they a tons of variety of reading materials and my son likes reading them. I am cancelling my subscription even if it is not due because it is hard to find information on iTunes on how to cancel subscription but it is easy for them to automatically renew it.

My kids loved the free trial, so I purchased the app 7 days ago. I have not been able to sigh back in to use the app that I'm now paying for. I have sent numerous emails, and still no resolution. If I'm expected to pay $8 a month, I expect decent customer service. Buyer beware.
