Sparkvue Review

Ashie meadows

I have an iphone and to test the app, Julia walked and then increased her speed to a run. The app worked as expected and gave an acceleration of 9.35 m/s^2. The app was pretty intuitive and there were no features that I would like to be developed or added. I haven't used any similar apps so I have nothing to compare it to or recommend instead of this one.

I used this app for physics. I ran around, and it logged my graph very accurately. It was very easy to use and to understand. It easily allowed me to find my maximum acceleration. I would recommend this app because it gives a clear graph.

Useful if you go to six flags and have to record the acceleration

Physics Phun Phanies Pack

This app worked very well and did exactly what we needed. I have an iPhone 4s and we opened the app, created an acceleration graph and ran. It worked better than expected and it was fairly intuitive. The app wasn't missing anything and it is the only app I would use to find acceleration. Have some physics Phun!!

I have an iPhone 5 and tested this app to find my iPhone's maximum acceleration while moving and waving it around. The app took me a while to figure out and I couldn't find a help button, but once I got it working it gave me a somewhat clear value. The way the clock runs is complicated, but still gave me values like the min/max acceleration, the average acceleration and more. My advice for anyone buying the app is to be sure to try clicking all of the different buttons if you are having trouble, because usually one of them will work. Also, it is great because it is easy to save your different trials. My physics class found the app really helpful once we worked out the kinks, and it's fairly accurate and specific.

Accelerometer Graphing doesn't work properly

CMO'H

Nice ideas on some of the additions, but bring back the old one that actually functions properly. The graphs made from the on-board acceleration sensor are all wrong. (The values display in the main menu are correct) Even the added new feature of turning the "Zero on Start" ON/OFF doesn't work properly. This failure to graph has made some great physics demos & labs now useless, and left students confused. BRING BACK THE OLD ONE!

BIN files

Faithaboozoo

The program only saves information as a binary file. Which is ancient and not compatible with a computer unless I burn it to a disc or mount it to a virtual drive. Please stream line this defect.

Data dream

This app was great for data sharing in biology lab, prob and stats, etc. pretty user friendly in the set up but took me a minute to figure out how to share the info.

It's absolutely amazing, my temperatures are sooo accurate

Good app

Puppylovesjk

Accurate calculations, could update acceleration more often to be more accurate. Fairly easy to use.

Good, lacks functionality on iPad Pro

Evo13

Overall the app is very well-made and works well. It does get a little slow sometimes (even on an 128GB iPad Pro). The other problem is that it seems to lack the ability to build labs when running on the iPad Pro. I downloaded it at the same time onto both my Pro and Mini, and while I have the build function on the mini, the home screen is totally different on the Pro, and there is no ‘Build’ option and the button to add pages to a lab is missing. I contacted PASCO tech support about this, but never received a reply. So, if you are planning to use the Pro, just be aware that you cannot build your own labs on it with this version.
