Sparkling Poker is a new poker experience coming to your iPhone and iPad. Use your iPad as the poker table, and iPhones or iPods as the cards. No need to be online, just play with your friends. Watch as you put your cards and chips on the animated 3D poker table.
Sparkling Poker uses bluetooth to realize a unique way of playing poker. You don't need to be connected to the internet, just use an iPad as a poker table, and hold your iPhone or iPod in your hand, just like you would hold your cards.
See your chips move from your device onto the table, see your cards be revealed. All the tension of regular poker, where you can look your opponents in the eye. But all the score keeping, rules and dealing are being handled for you by your devices.
The table can be run on an iPad or an iPhone. You can also run Airplay on the iPad and Apple tv, making for a unique experience of sitting on the couch in front of the television and all playing the game with individual devices.
Sparkling Poker is fun to play, completely free, and can be played anywhere.
How to play:
1. Make sure bluetooth is enabled on all player devices
2. Use one device, preferably an iPad, as Poker table: Select "Cash Game" or "Tournament Game" from the menu and select "Start Game"
3. Select "Join Table" on the other devices and start playing.
4. You can set a bet by dragging on a chip stack from top to bottom.
NOTE: Sparkling Poker is a game for 2-5 players. It needs to be downloaded on at least three devices in order to play. One device will work as a dedicated poker table.
IMPORTANT: Bluetooth must be on!!

Someone runs out of money. IAP is required to "re-buy" into a game/table, otherwise you are done playing. Not sure if it locks you out if the device you are using as a table (the iPad) or if it keeps track of your chips on your own device (iPhone/iPod), making any table unplayable unless you IAP. High hopes for this with family and friends, and I understand needing to generate revenue for developers, but I can't ask people I play with to spend real money just to keep playing. May as well pull out the real cards and chips if you just play for fun. I'd rather pay once for this type of digital poker system (say $10) on the iPad that holds all the chips, and then everyone connecting with their phones or iPods are given said chips from the table. Then they can be reused to play as much as you want. Again, I'll never get family or friends to spend even the $.99 for the starter pack chip set if it isn't reusable, thus making it a giant money sink simply to play using iOS devices. Edit: I was mistakenly using the "cash game". There is the tournament option that essentially makes it free to keep playing, and you can handle the money locally if you wanted. Great game!

This works really well! You hardly need to know poker to be able to play with this, and sitting together with your friends all playing together is simply cool.

This is neat. You need to get enough people around to play, but as soon as you have, this is a great way to play poker with friends. Not needing any internet is great, but of course you do need internet to download the app in the first place.. Still, playing in any location in the world is amazing.

I just played this game with two of my friends. I connected the iPad to my Apple TV. Cards on your iPhone and Poker table on the big screen… Sweet!! Best of all. I won ;-)
