Play a very captivating game of Spades. The goal of the game is to take at least the number of tricks that were bid before each hand. The game is played in pairs and spades are always the trump. Your partner sits opposite to you and the deals are played clockwise. If you win as many or more tricks than you bid, you gain 10 points for each trick. If you win fewer tricks than you bid, you lose 10 times the amount of tricks you bid. In order to win you need to make as many points as possible.

● You play with a partner and you need to win enough tricks to achieve the bid you and your partner made.
● The game starts by placing a bid. The bid is the number of tricks you think you can take in one round.
● You have to win as many or more tricks than you bid to gain 10 points for each trick. If you win fewer tricks than you bid, you lose 10 times the amount of tricks you bid.
● If you and your partner make a bid that summed is equal or above the tricks made you win a number of points equal to the bid multiplied by 10.
● If you and your partner take tricks above the bid, each trick adds 1/0 or -1 to the score depending on the set of rules.
● If one player bids nil (0 cards) and doesn't take any trick he wins 100 points for the team. If he takes one or more tricks the team loses 100 points.
● In this game of spades the cards of spades are the trumps.
● Once a card of spades is played it is said that spades are broken. If spades are not broken, you can only play a card of spades if you cannot follow suit. If spades are broken you can start a trick by playing a card of spades.
● If you play a card of spades and there are no other spades in the trick you win the trick.
● The order of cards is 2, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace. Ace is the most valuable card.
● If the cards in the trick are not spades, the card that follows suit and has the biggest value wins the trick.
● Once all the cards are played a round finish screen appears in which you can see the results.
● You and your partner win the game, if you and your partner have the biggest score above 300 or 500 points or if a number of hands (4, 8 or 16) have been played.
● You can establish new scoring rules by opening the rule settings window from the main menu and choosing the desired settings.
● The new settings become active once you start a new game.
● Per the default rules you will have to reach 500 points to win the game, each overtrick scores 1 point and a set of 10 bags (overtricks) gives you a -100 points penalty.
