Good memories
Altered beast

Sega genesis games are awesome ports for the iPhone! Keep them coming sega. Please add Altered Beast!!!! POWER UP!!!

Fun game is fun
Z3R0 HD

This game is fun. I saw it came out along with Ecco. Being a Genesis and Sega fanboy, I quickly got it. It's a fun game, although I do find that when you move the D-Pad, sometimes it doesn't respond. For a dollar, you can't go wrong.

Love the Sega MS

sega did a good job bringing this game to the app store. i dont know what people are complaining about what with the controls, it works fine. Sega should bring back the arcade version of the first space harrier so you can add extra lives, fight the dragons, and listen to the old neat music. That would be PERFECT!!! id pay for that!

No control means unplayable
AdemKFS

Control is laggy and seems to stop responding often. Accelerometer control sounds like a good idea but is slow and useless. Did the original have that beeping sound every time an enemy appeared? Game plays VERY fast and looks like the original, but if you can't dodge things or shoot things there's nothing left to do. But die. I want a refund, and will be wary of action titles like this.

Pretty Good, Sound Possibly Off?
StanleyStubrick

Granted, it's been quite a while since I have played it on the Genesis, but this iPhone version's audio sounds a little off. Not quite how I remember it. Possibly the best the emulation could muster, I suppose. That said, this is an accurate port of the Genesis/Mega Drive original. Control on the touchscreen requires a little adjusting to, but overall I can't fault this port. Plus I got it on sale ;)

Decent

Missed this game happy to find it though I strongly prefer the arcade version. Biggest frustration when playing action games like this on iPhone is the sucky dpad control. I read another review about the character following your finger movement as an idea. I agree I think that's a great idea though I doubt Sega will go through that much trouble no offense

Great game, but missing autofire...
R. Cristo

This is a great old school game, but the original had autofire contol so that you didn't have to keep pressing the fire button. Sega, please provide an update with this feature and this game will be 5 out of 5 stars!!!!

Good, but old...
Boraman

The game is good but it's old!! Makes you wonder how we use to play these types of games!! Crazy! Good stuff!

Sega is lazy!

How about the arcade version of the original Space Harrier?!
