What users are saying on the Audiobus forum:

Noisehorse:
"SoundPrism Pro has always been one of my fundamental instruments and composing tools, can't do without it, so I just got Electro two seconds ago. In just playing it for a minute I've suddenly got a head full of new tunes! This app is awesome: both the sounds and the playing structure are unique and fantastic! The only bad thing is I now have to put it away and go to work."

WMWM:
"This thing is awesome, the sounds coming from its internal synth are very rich and worth the price alone. I am glad I purchased this, keep em comming, oh yeah and thanks!"

How is this different from Electro mini?
lordkimbo29

Same as electro mini except they added Audiobus 3 support? Seriously, another $4 for Audiobus 3 support? And another $4 for a separate app with Ableton link support? Forget this app. If you want a good midi controller, just get Soundprism Pro. You can map individual midi channels to bass section, chord section, the x and y accelerometers, and multi-touch. This app is so much more limiting. Not worth your time.

Super displeased...

Such limited range, about 1/4 that of Pro and you only get the same sound no matter what you chose.... You should have just built in some new sound pack for Pro, cause that’s all this is and it doesn’t even provide much at all....

No longer works

Not sure why but this now crashes in AUM even if launched in the background. Might be an iOS 13.5 issue. Too bad. I really enjoyed this app now I will look into the competition.

I connected my iPhone with no problem but it produces only a bass sound no chords not thre full 12. And I was trying to connect my ipad becaue I though that problem would be gone but I couldn’t connect it at the first place eventhough I went through the same thing I did with iphone. Please fix this or is there a solution to it. I neeeeeed this ASAP.

Atrocious Sounds

The sounds you can play with this are _extremely_ limited and terrible. Unless you want to make awful euro techno, you're better off buying other music apps that are much more interesting and expressive. The original Soundprism is pretty good since it can interface with other iOS apps to give many more options for sound generation. I'm not sure what the point is of this Electro version. I like to support music apps on iOS, and even if I buy an app that I don't ultimately end up using I can see the value in it... but with this one, I regret paying the $5.

Perfect!!

Just as useful and brilliant as SoundPrism Pro! Great sounds and ease of play and interplay of sounds. I had deep grooves going in seconds.

Awesome new version!!!

This (Electro) adds to the already stellar line of SoundPrism apps. The original was great. The Pro version added midi. This adds several new ways to play the included (fantastic new) sounds as well as midi. This is one of the audio developers I recommend supporting. Definitely worth the purchase for what you are going to get out of it. Plus throw in Audiobus support along with state saving. Need I say more. Get it. It's fun and worth it. Nice job by the Audanika team!

Rocks!

If you read any other reviews you know what this does so I won't bore you with another explanation or description. I'll just tell you what I like about it. The fact that you can connect through core midi to other synths (hardware, software, or apps on the same device) and have different sounds for the bass, chords and lead makes this extremely useful and musical. I didn't particularly care for the internal sounds but that's irrelevant since I can connect to Sunrizer, Animoog, Magellan or any number of other great sounding synth apps on iOS. This controller is the ultimate in portable music creation. I don't have to carry an external midi controller with me ever. It has a great interactive tutorial system that makes it very quick and easy to learn all the ins and outs. You don't even need to have a degree in music to understand it. If you have any suggestions for the developer to add to this app, I have found him to be very responsive. I have to give this app five stars and since five is the limit I will also give it two big thumbs up. Great work, Audanica GmbH.

Electro is Excellent!

SoundPrism Pro has always been one of my fundamental instruments and composing tools, I can't do without it, so I just got Electro two seconds ago. In just playing it for a minute I've suddenly got a head full of new tunes! This app is awesome: both the sounds and the playing structure are unique and fantastic! Electro Rocks a lot harder than the regular SoundPrism does in my opinion. Thanks Sebastian for another Epic app!!!

Nice Take on SoundPrism

The sounds in the app are designed to play together. The ribbon controller lets you control the filter. There are three parts, bass, chords, and melody. It also sends out midi. The only drawbacks are no way to specify midi channels or which cc is sent out by the ribbon controller. Very responsive playability and the built in tutorial steps you through all aspects of the app in bite size chunks. Very useful to be able to play along/control other apps. It would be nice to have some more built in sounds. The app also has virtual midi in/out ports so you can record and playback via recorded midi in Cubasis for example. This can be used to make adjustments to the mix of the bass, chord, and melody parts or have other apps use this midi to accompany or replace the parts in SP Electro.
