This app is useless, I was trying to find a song and I really did hum it very close to how it went and it still could not recognize it so I experimented. I sang a song that I knew every lyric and every tone to which should be an easy one for Sound Hound but it STILL couldn’t recognize the song. I then tried another extremely popular song that I knew and same thing, no results (after multiple tries I might add). Just get another app and don’t waste your time with this one.
You messed up the lyrics

The lyrics were much better before. It would follow the words perfect and you could tilt to horizontal for big easy to follow words. Also the dark background was much easier on the eyes. I used to use SoundHound just for the lyrics. Now just for a song I don’t know. When I used it for the lyrics, it was easily 5 times more. Now I hardly use it. I wish I didn’t upgraded. Please go back to the way you had the lyrics before. Also, the entire setup is worse. Before you had choices of what platform you wanted to play the song including videos. I just downloaded an app called Shazam. It is perfect. It is even better than the old Sound Hound. I am editing this I originally write this a while ago. It took me 30 seconds to know Shazam is what I want. It has videos and the lyrics scroll perfect with a nice dark background. It just looks nicer and took me seconds to figure it out. I will test it out more and update it.
Voice and hum don’t work

Even when there’s no background sound at all when I hum it sing, it still doesn’t recognize the song. I would’ve put one star but at least it recognizes actual music.
Missidentifying too many songs lately.

I don’t know what’s going on, but the app is now misidentifying some songs. Even tried multiple attempts at the same song and it said it was two different songs.

What an absolute piece of garbage and waste of space. How do you not recognize “immigrant song”. Its a pretty unique melody. Christ, what a useless app. Tried singing some tunes i didnt really know, then tried “blinded by the light” - still clueless. Musician of 15 years....its definitely not my pitch. What song does it recognize....mary had a little lamb?

Shazam works WAY better. This app hardly ever finds the song by listening to it and the lyric search option is complete crap.
Works great but WHY NOTIFICATIONS??

Why does this app give me random notifications? It does what it should do (most of the time, has a hard time with identifying music over ambient noise like at a coffee shop but whatever same) but why do I need a pop up notification with random lyrics from a song I have never looked up and don’t want to know? I get that I can opt out of notifications or turn them off but why would you design this app to be purposefully annoying? So unnecessary

Why did you remove the screen orientation variable? Was nice having the screen rotated when we moved the phone around. Why did you remove it?
