Yes!!!

As an update to my last review, this app just became one of the best music apps available. Seriously, it's that good. Now that it has a usable musical scale and tempo control it's endlessly entertaining, and still really easy to use. But as if the last update (v1.1) didn't add enough, they're now promising mp3s, ringtones and sound recording. Don't even bother with the other tone pad type apps. This one's in a different league. I'd still like to see a major scale in the app still, but the new one's good.

Really Good!

This is the best Tone Matrix out there! I'll buy more Sound Banks if you want to make them available... but the promised updated sounds are a good start. I'd love sound attack and decay controls, and of course a MIDI export (one layer per MIDI channel?) function. It's one of my favorite music apps... you should port it to the big MIDI apps on the Mac as a VSTi / AU. Thanks

Best toneboard app

Update to my last review: I figured out how to adjust layer volumes... Duh. The longer I play with this the more brilliant I realize it is... So so so so so much better than any other Tenori-on app out there- this should be getting so much more attention from the App store than Melodica, Toneboard, Toneapp... There's just really no comparison, this one has so many more features, it's like trying to compare a bicycle to a Ferrari. I can't wait for the update! More sounds, mp3 and/ or wav export, and time sig control will make this app beyond fantastic!

Very very fun!

Beats out melodica any day of the week.

Nice app!

Really fun music toy but needs a midi export feature.

love the new release, except...

nyc needs live guides!

The interface is not as receptive to touch. Please make it like the older version. I have to tap 3 or 4 times to get a note, and then it's often to the right of where I tapped. The old version was perfect. LOVE the new recording ability.

There goes melodica, pakel & tone whatever

Best in class. Bar none. By far. Every way: color graphics sound complexity ease of use

Great Fun

This is a cool easy to understand music app. The support is awesome and unlike many of the claims to quickly update features, these guys actually do it. They are committed to the product and look to tweak it so that its a better product for us. Please keep the new sound banks coming.

i want to like this app

This app is o.k. There's a nice feature that shows "ghost impressions" of all the notes being played. So often with these synth composing programs, you hear what you've programed, but you have to be on the right screen to see where it's coming from. Editing notes is difficult. How you physically place the notes on the "dots" is way too small. I spend more time adding and deleting wrong notes just because the touch size is so tiny. Very frustrating, I would like this app a lot more if i could just tap the note i want without having to tap it 8 more times to delete and re-enter all the mis-taps. You need miniature fingers to program this synth. 2nd, the tone. The instruments sound alright. Pretty electronic. But there really aren't very many choices. The layers are confusing. It keeps switching between layers when editing and playing, and i still don't know why? While editing layer one, I'll swipe up to a different instrument (a feature i like a lot), but somehow the layer will change to layer two? isequence, isyn, and/or electron are still my top three synth composing programs.

Best grid sequencer out there
