BuzzCards is an app designed to help deaf people communicate easily with people who don’t know sign language. The app works like a deck of flashcards. You type the message and show it to the person with whom you are communicating.

You can write and save cards with the messages you use the most. For example, “Where is the restroom?” or “Where is the nearest bust stop?” You can also make or edit cards on the fly, as needed. The cards are organized by category - for example, “Dining” or “Travel” – to make them easy to find. There is no limit to the number of cards you can create. The BuzzCards app makes face-to-face communication simple; just type it and show it.

I appreciate your great ideal of communication with hearing ppl and show them to read what I want to order or get something from those. But it need a fix, when I set up for titles-it blow out & lost it. Please fix or update! Thanks!

I used it this morning on my way to work just for fun, my barista knows my order but I flashed this at her and she loved it! Easy to read font - cute graphics. Can't wait to personalize it with my messages. Thank you!! Liv

Finally something useful! Was tired of using Notes, the fonts were too small for the hearing person to read. Now we do not have to write on papers anymore. We have our iPhone to break the writing barrier! Thumbs up!

I just recently had 2 surgeries on my vocal cords which has left me with not being able to speak while I heal. This app has saved my life. Being able to communicate without speaking has made me relax and focus on healing. Thank you for a fantastic app!!!!

Hearing vs Deaf

Well I'm a Hearing person. Never knew a Deaf person in my life until 8 years ago. My daughter was born deaf. Didn't even knew about until she was 1 1/2 yrs old. She now has 2 cochlear implants, but she has the video phone. She can't talk like us hearing people, but thats ok. Atleast I can hear her say "Daddy I love you!" I downloaded this app on my Iphone and she loves it, when we go to McDonalds she has to order for the whole family. Thx for making this app for the Deaf community. :)

I use this app every day, I have to interact with the hearing/speaking world all the time, and this app makes it so much more convenient. I used to carry around a big pink board (those children's magnetic wipe board things), and they work, but it's big and bulky compared to an iPhone! Thanks Sorenson!
