I don't know what to say. This game is amazing. There are tones of layers to the story. The gameplay is great, and combat is fun. Do yourself a favor and buy this right now.

I can never find "that perfect app" to get, I'm constantly re-playing the older big name stuff because everything new is disappointing. I've been blown away. It is a simple game with graphics that are so nonanimated as to be almost confusing to why you'd pay $2.99, and then you start playing and really see all the beautiful artwork illustrating the story and the hundreds of pages of scripts that detail the thousands of possibilities. If you love high adventure, this game is FOR YOU. The story asks you where to go, what to do, wraps around you, and remembers your choices three hours later - and even asks you to do the same! If that isn't attention to detail, then I don't know what is - and isn't that what we are begging for in games, for the makers to give us SUBSTANCE, not just happy graphics and a ten-minute shoot-em-up? For your dollar you get all the replay ability of a story that can't be played the same way twice, and a guarantee of no in-app purchases. I'm sold, and I loved both episodes. I cannot wait for episodes three and four. For anyone that says "too short" or "what? Another chapter?" Realize that it was planned as a series and you paid what you paid for a really good interactive book.

From the music and sound effects, to the drawings, detail, and the amount of love that anyone can see was put into this little gem, I was hooked. Plus a great value for the price- I easily played for 16 hours- probably could have done even more if I explored everywhere available to you in the city, as I was looking for clues. Can't wait for #3!!!!!

This is, without a doubt, one of the greatest games created for iOS. The story is gripping, the writing is great, and the level of freedom within the game world is unrivaled. Be sure to start with the first Sorcery!, as your character carries over. Certain items from the first game open up possibilities in the next one that are otherwise unreachable. I eagerly await Sorcery! 3.

This is the one of the best iOS games to date and I can't wait for the next one! It has some great story telling, a fun combat system, a ton of interesting spells, and choices that really matter.

I played the Sorcery! game books as a kid, and this app is even better than the original source material (which I loved). The minor bugs I previously encountered all seem to have been fixed. My only minor critique is that I would like to be able to delete some of the cloud-saved games.
