Great

Great, but some instruction about different modes of sound scope would be useful

Fantastic app

This does everything I wanted. Time in milliseconds on x axis with waveform. You can pinch the scales to change the scale of x and y axis. Has a lot more features that I do not fully understand. If there was a user manual I could say more, but I do not know what all the screen symbols are.

Crashes after first use

Works nicely but always crashes when opened a second or subsequent time. I have to download and install each time I want to use it. IOS 12, iPhone 6plus.

Ok but lacks features.

I like the display and peak hold is good but I would also like to be able to change scale to linear frequency and move the cursor to a selected point. Simple stuff really and standard features on other free spectrum analysis apps.

Adds another amazing tool to your iPhone ! ?Get it!

Db Meyer, XYZ vibration meter. Oscilloscope. Frequency meter. Magnetic feild meter. And that’s not even half of the functions. I often do field recording work and this app is quick and easy because my phone is already in my hand recording. Eliminates gear. I even think it told me “I love you” JK it did and it high 5 me. Thanks extremely smart people on the other side of this message. No adds and free....???

Sweet! Very nice - best free scope I’ve seen!

[I’m checking in 8 months after I posted my original review. I wish I could give this app more than 5 stars, simply because it’s a) a free app that b) does what it says it will do, c) still has non-annoying advertising, and d) I’m still using it almost a year later. Not many apps can measure up to that standard. I saw another review that complained about accuracy, and based on personal experience I can say that Sonic Tools is surprisingly accurate: I didn’t do comprehensive testing, but I used it for some audio in the 70-130Hz range and it was spot-on] This is a very nice free app! I’m sure there are much more expensive scope apps with more bells and whistles, but if you want a quick read on waveform, frequency, spectrum, amplitude - this app has got you covered. Yeah, there’s a banner ad - it’s not especially obtrusive. I can’t claim to have given the vibration or magnetic field options much of a workout, but the plain audio stuff seems reasonably accurate. In short: check this one out before you go spending money on something else.

Thank you Rikki, very cool

The recent change to zooming is awesome, and I love you for it. One thing that I would like changed is the scale for VIB Scope. Right now, negative values wrap around and become positive again, making it hard to read the graph in certain circumstances. If the 0 could be put in the middle and have equal amounts of negative values as positive values, that tool would be more useful for me. Also, I was fine with the ads. If you want to add an opt-in ad toggle in the settings, I wouldn't mind leaving it on.

Legitimately Incredible

It's rare you find an app this small (3.5MB!) and this capable that runs as smoothly with as many features. The best part - it's free. I nearly flipped my lid when I found out I could find all the magnets in my computer lid with this thing.

Great app, and actually works without hidden fees.

Honestly it shouldn’t be too much to ask for a spectrograph for free, but I’ve seen other apps charge 50$+ for something way less responsive than this app. Thank you so much to the developer of this app!
